The sixth period (2a-2e)
Good morning! Teachers and judges. I’m XXX. It’s my great honor
to stand here to share my teaching ideas with you. Today I’m going to
talk about the sixth period in Section B of unit 5 What were you doing
when the rainstorm came? , which is taken from Go for it, Book4. My
presentation consists of six parts: analysis of the teaching material,
analysis of the students, teaching methods, learning methods, teaching
procedures and blackboard design.
Part One Analysis of the teaching material
一、Status and Function
This unit is mainly about telling past events using the past progressive
tense. Let the students talk about what people were doing when the
relevant events happened. The content of this unit is closely related to

一、说教材
我所说的内容是人教版英语Go for it 八年级英语Unit5 What were you doing
when the rainstorm came Section B 2a-2e,这节课主要学习的是一篇阅读文章,它体现了本单元的话题主题,其题目为 Do you remember what you were doing它讲述的是1968年4月美国的重要历史人物Martin Luther King被杀和2001年9月美国纽约世贸中心被恐怖份子摧毁这两个重要事件发生时,某些人正在做什么事情,文章主要渗透了语法过去进行时的用法,体现了本单元学生学习的重要内容。
二、说教学目标
本课的教学目标有:
