A person's job has more effects on his or
her happiness than this person's social life
does.
Happiness, which is worth pursuing for one's whole life, comes from various
resources, such as an expecting gift, an excellent test score, an exciting party, a
wonderful marriage and a decent job. As complicated reasons determine whether we
live happily, social life becomes the main reason.
Firstly, jobs can be changed while our social life cannot be. The definition of an ideal
job is just that you are satisfied with it or not. If you are satisfied, then you will be
happy. When he or she is not satisfied with this work, everyone has the right to
improve the position and to find you satisfactory work, as long as he or she takes pain
for this, like working overtime. Our social life, however, it is difficult to change. For
instance, if you are hard to get along with your parents, which may involves personal
character’s problem. Since the fact that they are your parents can't be changed, and
your personality is rather difficult to alter, you still have to live together with them all
life time with a little reluctance and unhappiness. So, social life is an inflexible effect
to our life. Plus, the family and friends will provide us with the happiness hope,
courage and delight far more than the job does. We all enjoy the moment that drinking,
chatting and laughing with all family members.
Secondly, social life can help us to be healthier both in mental and physical health
which is the basis of happiness. When people are under the great pressure in sharply
developing society, communication with others could help us get away from the stress
in our work. When we are in blue, the most efficient way to release ourselves is to talk
with our friends. As old saying goes that, sharing happiness with others, happiness
will be doubled; sharing sadness to others, sadness will be cut into half. When the
pressure had been eased, would you be healthier. Furthermore, participating in some
social organization such as the dancing group or sport team can bring us relaxation,
strengthen our bodies and enhances our sense of happiness.
Diverse social activities provide people with a large number of accesses to gain
happiness, while a job will inevitable become boring when to be done by a person in
all his life. So, in my opinion, social life has more effects on his or her happiness than
a person's job does.
