Soon after killing Polydectes, Perseus decided to take his
bride Andromeda and his mother back to his home country.
Meanwhile, King Acrisius felt sure that his grandson would
never return to kill him as the fortune-teller had predicted.
Surely, he thought, his daughter and grandson had died in
the
sea twenty years before.
Before Perseus left Serapis, he made Dictys king of the
island and thanked him once again for all his kindness.
The three arrived in Argos, where Perseus was born, and
learned
that his grandfather, Acrisius, had gone away for a while.
Then, while Perseus was waiting for the king to return, he
heard of
some athletic games happening in the north.
He went north to join the games and hoped to win fame for

Before earth and sea and heavens became known the face of nature was one crude,
formless mass. Land and sea and air were mingled together. The universe was a
uniform darkness, without sun and moon, and the earth was no more than an embryo
heap. In the middle of the pervading gloom sat Chaos and his wife, the goddess of
Night (Nyx), who reigned but did not rule, for the whole space was lifeless. Centuries
later, with the birth of Light and Day, earth and sea and air came into existence. Still
later, the union of Gaea (Earth) and Uranus (Heaven) gave birth to the Titans, the
Cyclopes and the Centimani, all giants in stature and strength. Afraid that his own
gigantic children might usurp his throne, Uranus drove them all back to the earth, and
thus roused the resentment of the mother Gaea. At her instigation one of her sons,

Odysseus在特洛伊战争后返回家乡Ithaca，没想到却在外漂泊了十年。一离开特洛伊，Odysseus和他的同伴就遇到了Thracian tribe(色雷斯部落），一些同伴吃了lotus,成了只顾享乐，忘记了责任的人。Odysseus在阿波罗的祭司的指引下，救下了他们，顺利离开。然后他们遇到了独眼巨人Polyphemos,他巨大，丑陋，吃了他们不少同伴。Odysseus灌醉他，告诉他他叫‚Outis‛,雅典意为Nobody，并用烧红的木棍刺瞎了他的眼睛。在其他独眼巨人赶来帮他并问他是谁在伤害他时，却只听到回答‚没人‛，于是他们就离开了。后来Odysseus和他的同伴就顺利离开了。随后他们遇到了Aeolus，受到他的热情款待，在送他们离开时给了Odysseus一个装着狂风的袋子。就在看得见家乡的时候，Odysseus由于疲劳睡着了。其他同伴怀疑袋内是珍宝，一不小心将袋子打开，他们又被吹回了Aeolus那里。这次，Aeolus拒绝了帮助他们。接着他们遇到了食人族。在那里他们遇到了女巫Circe，能利用歌声将人们引入房子里并将他们变成动物。在Hermes的帮助下，成功地说服了Circe将他的同伴变回了人形，并且开心地度过了一年。然后他们被大风送到世界尽头-奇墨里矮人的海岸。按照Circe的吩咐。，来到山岩前。然后献祭，羊血流出来后，死者的幽魂就出来了。Odysseus 把幽灵赶开，在Teiresias的幽魂出来之前，不让别的幽魂舔羊血。Teiresias出现了，告诉Odysseus怎么回去和预言。然后，Odysseus见到了他的妈妈和Agamennon,Sisphus,Tantalus.他们在返回Circe被埋的岛上的途中，遇到了Sirens.她们专门以歌声诱惑人。他们用蜂蜡塞住耳朵，把脚绑在桅杆上，最后摆脱了她们的诱惑。然后来到Charybdis,海怪Scylla一口叼了六个人。最终走出了海怪Scylla和漩涡Charybdis之间危险的隘口。来到了Thrinacia岛，乘Odysseus睡觉时，同伴吃了太阳神的牛。Zeus很生气，用雷霆击碎了他们的船。最后，存货的还有Odysseus一人。他来到了Ogygia岛，和Calypso做了7天恋人。然后来到Phaiacia岛，海神Poseidon讨厌他，破坏他的筏。在Athena的帮助下，他到了Alcinous的宫殿。第二天，Alcinous 举办宴会为他践行。在宴会上，他说了自己是谁以及之前冒险的经历。T然后他回到了Ithaca.他已经离开这里20年了，期间一直有很多人向他妻子Penelop求婚。Minerva把Odysseus暂时变成了乞丐。Athena假装他的朋友Mentor.但他受到他家的仆人Eumaeus的友好对待。在他去希腊大陆的途中。他遇到了已经和解的Menelaus&Helen。但是Minerva叫他返回别再前进。他找到Eumaeus问他宫殿里的一些情况。Eumaeus被送去宫殿告诉Oddyseusde的 妻子（Penelope）她的儿子Telemachus将要来宫殿,所以要堤防求婚者。然后Minerva让父子两相认了。Penelpoe对Odysseus很忠诚，拒绝求婚者，每天重复编制Odysseus的父亲的寿衣。拆拆织织。由于一个女仆发现了并且背叛了她，她就受到惩罚，必须从求婚者中选出一个作为丈夫 。Odysseus和儿子商量着在等下在宫殿上对策。在宴会上，求婚者没有成功谋杀Oddyseus的儿子。Odysseus以乞丐的身份出现。求婚者对他很无礼。Odysseus走向他的妻子(他妻子还不周到他是谁)让她宣布哪个求婚者能用Odysseus 的箭射一次性射穿12个斧头就能与她结婚（这事只有他自己能做到）。在射箭过程中，他儿子把所有别的兵器都藏了。然后Odysseus射穿了其中一个最恶劣的求婚者的喉咙。然后战争开始了。Odysseus说明了自己的真实身份。他是宫殿的主人、国王。最后所有的求婚者都被杀死。但是他妻子不相信这个乞丐就是她的丈夫Odysseus，就做了测试。最后他通过了测试。其中一个已死的求婚者的父亲想推翻Odysseus,但被Laertes杀死了。最后Athena让求婚者的家人和Odysseus处于和平。
