Aviagen Appoints Nick French as New Global Head of Technical Systems

Aviagen has announced the promotion of Dr Nick French, currently Incubation Specialist, to
Global Head of Technical Systems. Dr French is scheduled to commence his new position on April
30, replacing Dr John Ralph, who has assumed a new role at Aviagen Turkeys.

Nick holds a BSc in Zoology and Psychology from the University of Bristol and a PhD from the
University of Bath. His career in the poultry industry began at B.U.T., where he was to become
Director of Technical Support. In 2009, Nick moved to the chicken side of the business and for the
last three years he was a valued member of the Hatchery Support team as Incubation Specialist.
With 30 years of poultry experience, Dr French will continue to support Aviagen and its
customers internationally in his new role as he will be assigned to visit various Aviagen sites
around the world.

In his new position, Nick will be responsible for leading the team that develops e-technology
models and systems for the analysis and prediction of production performance. The Technical
Systems Group has already been very successful in developing a range of tools that can be used
to trap, analyze and model data that can be used to improve production systems and Nick will
work to build on this success and further develop the tools for wider use.
弗兰奇博士的任务是领导旗下团队开发电子数理模型体系，来分析预测种鸡生产性能。此前技术体系团队成功研发了一系列用于数据收集，分析解构和建立模型的工具。在此基础上弗兰克博士将领导该团队把技术成果向全球推广。
Bryan Fancher, Vice President of Global Technical Operations at Aviagen, said: “Throughout his
time with Aviagen, Nick has been very highly regarded the world over and I am sure that he will
bring the same success to his new role as he has to every other position he has held within the
company. Nick has experience at all levels and of all aspects of poultry production, therefore I
couldn’t think of a more deserved and well-matched appointment.”

Dr Nick French commented: “I could not be more grateful for the faith Aviagen continues to show
me and my work. Despite 30 years in the poultry industry, I am always learning something new
and still very much enjoy the challenge of tackling new problems. I look forward to what is ahead
