Good morning, my dear professors. I am very honored to

be here for your

interview. My name is Wang Limin, I am 22 yeas old. I come from Inner Mongolia.

My undergraduate period will be finished in the Inner Mongolia Normal University

this July; and now, I am trying my best to obtain a key to China University of

Geosciences.

I am open-minded, humors, fervent and very fond of making friends. In my spare

time, I have broad interests like many other youngsters. For example, I like singing,

reading, taking exercise. During the university I not only study hard also actively take

part in all kinds of activities. I enjoy the college life, and at the same time I also is

really looking forward to my postgraduate studies and life.

I hope I could have a better understanding in modern society by study further.

This very important reason for me to take the postgraduate exams .Next I love the

feeling in the university, it is full of youthful spirit, and I am deeply attracted by the

scholarly atmosphere. Finally I want to make myself to be a well-qualified person. I

think the postgraduate studies can enrich my knowledge and make me competent in

my future job .That is my simple and clear reasons why I took the postgraduate

exams.

To establish a reasonable knowledge structure: as widely dabbles in basic

knowledge, to a deeper understanding of the study of all aspects of the field, past and

present.

Grasp the independent research methods and skills, learn to write thesis.

In a word, I am looking forward to making a solid foundation for future

profession after two years study here。

2.介绍你的家乡(about hometown)

I come from Chifeng city that is located in the southeast of the Inner Mongolia

Autonomous Region. Chifeng is Inner Mongolia's most populous city. In addition,

Chifeng is recognized as one of the birthplace of Chinese culture, Chinese Excellent

Tourism city. Products with horse milk, dried beef, milk tofu. The people are very

hospitable; welcome you to visit to my hometown.

3.你的家庭(about family)

There are four members in my family: my parents, my brother and me. My father

is a worker, all day he face hard Labor. My mother is a responsible teacher. I love my

mom and dad, I'm proud of them. During my preparing for coming here, my parents’

love and support have always been my power and I hope in the future I will be able to

repay them。

4.你的大学(about university)

Inner Mongolia Normal University is located in Hohhot，the capital of Inner

Mongolia Autonomous Region .It was founded in 1952.The building area is 3800

acres(亩). It develops into a comprehensive normal university with efforts of

generations, School motto is "dedicated, truth-seeking, unity, and forge ahead" and I

like it very much. 5.在毕业以后5年内你想做些什么？

I hope I can find a steady job, and do the best I can do the job. In addition, I also

will continue to learn some technology what I am interested in.

6.内蒙古大草原

内蒙古大草原的气温年际变化显著，这非常有利于草原植物糖分的储存，干物质的凝结；内蒙古大草原昼夜温差大，海拔高以及高寒的气候，最大程度上减少了牲畜的传染病流行。内蒙古草原相当辽阔，总面积约占全国国土的1/10。它由六大草原组成，自东向西顺次是：世界上著名的呼伦贝尔草原、科尔沁草原、植被保护最好的锡林郭勒草原、宽广的乌兰察布草原以及鄂尔多斯半荒漠草原和阿拉善的荒漠草原。

在大学，我的专业是地理科学。我主修人文地理、经济地理、自然地理以及部门自然地理等课程。

In the university, my major is the geographical [dʒiə'ɡræfikəl] science. I major in

human geography [dʒi'ɔɡrəfi], economic geography, natural geography and

department of natural geography courses.

8.我对地理学的认识

地理学是一门实用性很强的学科。地理学是关于地球与及其特征、居民和现象的学问。地理学可分为自然地理学、人文地理学和地理信息系统三个分支。

Geography is a practical strong discipline .Geography is about the earth and its

features, and with residents and phenomenon of knowledge. Geography can be

divided into natural geography, humanistic geography and geographic

information system three branches.

（2）综合面试

综合面试设定以下主要参考指标：

1） 大学阶段学习情况（学习成绩、获奖情况等）；

2） 基础知识、专业知识的掌握情况，对本学科发展动态的了解等；

3） 综合知识应用能力；

4） 外语能力（听力、口语）；

5） 语言表达能力、思维的敏锐性及逻辑思维能力；

6） 心理素质。

面试由各学院在规定的时间内安排。具体要求：

1）每生面试时间一般不少于20分钟（含外语测试），总分100分；

2）每个复试小组成员一般不少于5人；

3）每个复试小组还应对每位考生的作答情况进行现场记录；

4）同一学科（专业）各复试小组的面试方式、时间、试题难度和成绩评定标准原则上应统一。

口语准备

对口语的考查，各个学校各不相同。有的学校制定了非常详细的标准和流程，甚至规定了每个老师发问的方式和时间;有的只是面试老师的自由发挥，成绩也基本上由面试老师主观判定。不管面试的形式如何，不管是否被严格控制，同学们一定要提前认真准备一下几个问题：

1.自我介绍

有必要预先准备一些有关自己情况的话题，比如自己的大学、家乡等等。般来说，面试的老师一般最感兴趣的话题是考生家庭背景、大学生活还有个人爱好等等。然后，找一个会英语的伙伴或朋友帮忙。如果周围没有适合的人选，也可以自己训练。有关这方面的训练要尽量达到流利的程度。因为你临时去想很嗑巴，而一个人在介绍自己的很嗑巴，就说明他的口语肯定很差。

同时，考生也要关心近期社会上发生的大事和时事。有可能在听力或者口语部分涉及到一些你对重大的社会问题的看法。

2.专业话题

口语测试时老师有可能要求你就本专业展开话题，考查你用英语讲解陌生概念的能力。因此熟悉本专业常用的英语词汇，适当阅读最新的专业外文期刊是必要的。对有可能问到并展开的专业话题要有所准备。同学们可以事先阅读一些相关文章，积累一些专业上的词汇。
