《高级写作B》教学大纲英文名称:Advanced Writing B一、课程目标1、课程性质: 《高级英语写作B》高级英语写作是英语专业高年级的一门必修课程,该课程的教学任务和目的是使学生在掌握句子和段落层面基础上继续培养学生的写作能力,尤其是毕业论文的写作能力。

通过本课程的学习,以期达到如下要求:1.系统了解英语毕业论文写作的主要过程和基本方法。

2.系统了解选题方法以及文献检索的主要方法和途径。

3.掌握规范编制英语论文的注释、参考文献以及引文的主要方法。

4.查阅语言学、文学、翻译等方面的英语论文,了解英语论文的语言、结构、切入展开方法,熟悉给定研究领域的写作规范。

5.通过英语毕业论文写作的训练,提高研究性学习的能力和创新思维能力。

写作课程的主要任务体现在以下几方面:在语言方面,教师应该帮助学生在已有的基础上,不断提高表达思想的准确性与鲜明性,逐步使他们感觉到英语具有极强的表达力,从而研究自己所感兴趣的话题;在内容方面,要求学生要言之有物,观点正确,条理清晰,逻辑顺畅;在书写格式上,要求学生做到规范、准确。

论文写作课程的训练是全方面的训练,不仅有助于提高学生的语言水平;有助于提高学生的观察分析、逻辑思考能力、还有助于培养学生严谨的工作作风和学习态度。

2、教学方法:讲练结合,讲评结合。

1.考虑到本课程的实践性较强,因而应当安排适当的教学时间阅读英语学术论文,也可留出一定的时间在图书馆进行实地研究和文献检索训练。

2.本课程的教学应当与学生毕业论文挂钩,以帮助学生写好毕业论文。

3.教学中可适当组织学生分组就某一主题进行研究和讨论4.课堂教学以学生为主体,教师为主导,采取范文阅读,教师讲解和学生练习相结合的方法,采用启发式,讨论式,注重培养学生实际写作能力。

写作以初写、小组讨论和定稿的形式。

教师批改以后,要求学生订正错误并对自己的作文写出评语,提出改进的措施。

通过系统学习和刻苦训练,使学生最终掌握教材所规定的全部写作基本概念、基本理论和基本用法。

5、教学手段现代化。

现代化的教学手段为英语写作提供了好的方式,教师将利用幻灯片来集体批阅学生的写作。

3、课程学习目标和基本要求教师在课堂上应培养学生用英语写作的习惯,鼓励他们利用英语的交际功能,通过写作表达思想;培养他们对英语写作的兴趣,激发他们写作的愿望。

对英语写作的基本理论和方法进行必要的讲授,并详细讲授每章的重点、难点内容;讲授中应注意理论联系实际,通过必要的范文展示、讨论,启迪学生的思维,加深学生对英语写作的认识,并应采用多媒体辅助教学,加大课堂授课的知识含量。

尤其注意以下几点:1.毕业论文概论:学生应简单了解以下方面:毕业论文和学术论文;毕业论文的主要类型及特点和毕业论文的整体结构和格式2.论文题目的选定: 学生应掌握以下方面:选题的意义与基本原则;选题的步骤与方法;以及选题过程和开题报告的例示。

3.资料的搜集: 学生应简单了解如何搜集资料,以及如何利用图书馆和网络资源。

4.分析材料与谋篇:学生应掌握以下方面:阅读材料,记录材料和谋篇布局.5.撰写初稿:学生应掌握以下方面:如何撰写引言,如何展开思路,书写引语等6.提供信息源:学生应简单了解论文不同的格式规范.7.论文修改与定稿:学生应简单了解论文修改的程序,认真落实教师的意见8.文学类论文的撰写:学生应简单了解文学类论文的研究对象及常见的相关问题。

9.语言学类论文的撰写:学生应简单了解语言学类论文的研究对象及常见的相关问题。

10.翻译类论文的撰写:学生应简单了解翻译类论文的研究对象及常见的相关问题。
