1 Ask the students to skim
the content in the box on Page 89, ask them the following question:
What jobs do they do Give the students some advice about reading skills.
2. Ask the students to read again and tick the right answers in Activity ①.
3. Read again and discuss the jobs and their responsibilities in Activity ②
4. Ask the students to read the phrases in Activity ③on Page 90.
5. Ask the students to read again. Then match job responsibilities and what ability the jobs needs.
6. Ask the students to read the jobs in the left box and work in pairs to discuss the abilities they require and list them in Activity ④ on Page 90.

Eve
Certificates are necessary for us to get jobs. With a certificate we can find jobs more easily than those without certificates. Therefore, we should try to get as many certificates as we can.
Doris
Certificates alone are not enough for us to get jobs. It is true that we can get jobs with the help of certificates. However, we may lose the job if we fail to do it well.
Morgan
Ability is more important than anything else. At school, we should try to acquire more knowledge. We should also do some skills training outside of school.
