And on top of all that, he seems like areally nice, humble guy in real life from what I've read about him. Jackie Chan just has tremendous skill and talent, but also a fun, goofy personality that comes across on the screen. That's why he's my favorite movie star, hands down.I really look up to Jackie and I hope I can be as dedicated and hard-working as he is one day. Watching his movies makes me want to study martial arts and learn how to do crazy stunts too. Maybe I'll even try to become an action movie star myself! Though I don't think I'll ever be as awesome as the legendary Jackie Chan. He's one of a kind.If you haven't seen any of Jackie Chan's films yet, you are seriously missing out. I know a lot of them are kind of old, but they are still incredibly entertaining. My recommendations for newcomers would be to start with Rumble in the Bronx or Rush Hour. Those are two of his best and funniest movies in my opinion. Though you really can't go wrong with any Jackie Chan film.He might be getting older now, but Jackie Chan will always be my favorite movie star. I've watched all of those movies like a million times!What I love most about Stephen Chow is how weird and goofy he is. He makes the craziest facial expressions and body movements. Like in Kung Fu Hustle, there's a scene where he pretends to be a crazy guy named The Beast. He walks around with buggy eyes and a funny slouched posture. Then he startsshouting and flailing his arms wildly. It's so over-the-top and hilarious!Stephen Chow is a master at slapstick comedy and doing physical jokes. In a lot of his movies, he'll do these long action scenes filled with martial arts and special effects. But instead of being serious, everything is exaggerated for comic effect. Like people getting punched but flying 50 feet into the air! Or using ordinary objects as weird weapons. It's total nonsense but so clever and entertaining.Another thing that cracks me up is Stephen Chow's ability to improvise on the spot. In interviews, his co-stars talk about how he is always making up new lines and gags unexpectedly during filming. He's just a brilliant comedic mind able to make anyone laugh with his spontaneous humor. I'd love to meet him someday and see his genius improv skills in person!Not only is Stephen Chow an amazing comedian, but he is incredibly talented in so many ways. It's about a former Shaolin monk who enters his martial arts students into an underground soccer league. The soccer matches are mind-blowingly insane, with people kicking flaming soccer balls or running across the ceiling and walls. My favorite character is Bak Ming, played by Stephen Chow himself. He's a scrawny nobody who joins the team and turns out to be a kung fu master in disguise. The big final showdown where Bak Ming goes crazy and overpowers the whole opposing team singlehandedly is absolute comic gold!Kung Fu Hustle is another classic Stephen Chow movie I adore. Set in 1940s China, it's about a town's lowly residents who use impressive kung fu skills to defend themselves against a vicious gang of axe-wielding thugs. Stephen Chow plays both the clumsy wanna-be gangster Sin and the eccentric kung fu master Beast. The action sequences are breathtaking but alsogut-bustingly funny, like when Sin and his friend try to imitate drunken boxing but end up careening into furniture and walls. I don't know how Stephen Chow comes up with such outrageous comedic ideas!More recently, Stephen Chow made two of thehighest-grossing Chinese films ever with The Mermaid and The Monster Hunt. The Mermaid is about a mermaid who falls in love with a businessman trying to buy her home in the ocean. You'd think a romance plot like that would be serious, but leave it to Stephen Chow to fill it with underwater martial arts fights and scenes of mermaids twerking! Only he could make a weirdfish-human hybrid world so entertaining.I could honestly go on and on raving about Stephen Chow's comedic genius. From his rubbery facial expressions to his knack for creative stunt choreography, everything he does makes me fall out of my chair laughing. My dream is to have a career in comedy someday too, writing and acting in hilarious films that bring joy to audiences worldwide like Stephen Chow's movies have for me.If you've never seen a Stephen Chow film before, I command you to watch one immediately!
