重点语法：
定语从句通常放在先行词的后面。

以上例句中的定语从句均由that 引导，that 称为引导词。

that 在定语从句中作主语，且that 不能省略，例如：
I don’t know the girl that is standing at the gate.
我不认识站在门边的那个女孩。

that 在定语从句中做宾语，且that 可以省略。

例如：
The story (that) I read in the newspaper is about a common teenager.这个我在报纸上读到的故事是关于一个普通青年。

由这句话也可以看出that 引导的定语从句可以修饰表示物的词；
that 引导的定语从句还可以修饰表示人的词，例如：
I still remember the nice boy (that) I met in Guizhou years ago.
我任然记得一年前我在贵州遇到的可爱男孩。
