A good teacher is like a shining star to students. Miss Li, my

senior high school English teacher, is a shining star in my life.

When I began my senior high school years, I had difficulty in

learning English. I dared not speak English aloud in public

because of my poor pronunciation and intonation. I could not

get high marks and my grammar was not right at all. Frustrated

and afraid of being laughed at, I never put up my hand to answer

questions in English class. When Miss Li found out my situation,

she encouraged me and lent me a hand. She patiently taught me

English grammar, helped me understand how to write a good

sentence,and lent me many English books and magazines, which

rapidly improved my English. With her help, I became interested

in English and eventually got high marks.

Miss Li, like a shining star, shines in my path of success.

be shared with all who would take heed. in more recent times,

this is a truth that promises light bursting from darkness, strength

born from weakness and, if one dares to believe, life emerging

from death.

farmers all over the world know the importance and

immutability of the seasons. they know that there is a season to

plant and a season to harvest; everything must be done in its

own time. although the rain pours down with the utmost

relentlessness, ceasing all outdoor activities, the man of the field lifts his face to the heavens and smiles. despite the inconvenience,

he knows that the rain provides the nourishment his crops need

to grow and flourish. the torrential rains in the month of april,

give rise to the glorious flowers in the month of may.

but this ancient truth applies to more than the crops of the

fields; it is an invaluable message of hope to all who experience

tragedy in life. a dashed relationship with one can open up the

door to a brand new friendship with another. a lost job here can

provide the opportunity for a better job there. a broken dream

can become the foundation of a wonderful future. everything has

its place.

remember this: overwhelming darkness may endure for a

night, but it will never overcome the radiant light of the morning.

when you are in a season of sorrow, hang in there, because a

season of joy may be just around the corner…

Summer is the second season in a year. It is between spring

and autumn. The sun of summer is the hottest;the water of

summer is the warmest; the places of interests in summer are the

most crowded throughout the world.

Firstly, summer is studentsthe most favourite season because

their longest vacations of the year are in summer.Many of them

try to enrich their social and healthy life by participating in a

number of interesting outdoor activities,include of camping with

friends and family members, going to the beach or swimming at

However,some of them try to make good use of their vacations

Secondly,summer is a pleasant season for all kinds of cold

foods and juicy fruits.Ice cream is our all time favourite

dessert.Yeh,I love ice cream so much.I have to eat some ice cream

almost everyday in summer.There are a lot of fresh fruits selling

everywhere. Watermelon is proudly rated to be the most

demanding fruit in the season. All kinds of iced drinks are greatly

demanded in summer.

Thirdly, summer is a hot season for trendy fashion. You will

see many sexy and curvy babes in your neighbourhood, on the
