In case of changes to your test schedule, please follow instructions on the test day. Check-in times on the test day:

Written test: 8:00am - 8:30am, Candidates not checked in by 08:30 am into the written test room will not be allowed to sit thewritten and speaking parts of the test and will not be eligible for transfer, cancellation or refund of any kind.Speaking test: Candidates should arrive at the test venue at least 30 minutes prior to the speaking test. Candidates not checkedin 15 minutes prior to the scheduled interview time into the speaking test room may not be admitted to the speakingtest, and will not be eligible for transfer, cancellation, or refund of any kind. Such candidates' written test results willbe voided as well. Candidates who are absent for the written test will not be allowed to sit the speaking test and willnot be eligible for transfer, cancellation or refund of any kind.

You must bring with you on the test day:

1. The valid ID document as used for your IELTS on-line registration (ID card, passport, military service personneldocument, Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents).If you fail to present the required ID document before check-in closes, you may not be allowed to sit thetest, and will not be eligible for transfer, cancellation or any refund.

2. One recent passport-sized (33mmx48mm) colour photograph taken within the past 6 months against a whitebackground, showing the ears and without glasses. Write your full name and candidate number on the back of thephotograph.

3. This Admission TicketOther than necessary medicine, candidates will not be allowed to bring any personal belongings into the test rooms. Candidateswho bring mobile phones or any other prohibited items into test rooms will be disqualified from taking the test and will not be eligiblefor transfer, cancellation or refund in any form. Candidates are strongly encouraged not to bring valuable items to the test. Neitherthe British Council (operating in China as the Cultural and Education Section of the British Embassy/Consulates-General) nor NEEAor the local Test Centres assume any responsibility for candidates' personal belongings. Items left in the personal belongings areaare left there at the candidate' s own risk unless the loss of the personal belongings under safekeeping is due to the British Council' s(operating in China as the Cultural and Education Section of the British Embassy/Consulates-General) or the local Test Centre' s wilful wrongdoing or serious fault.NEEA2012-06-05

Candidates' Test Report Forms will be sent via EMS to the address provided on the online IELTS Application Form on the 10thworking day after the written test. This applies only to those who completed all the modules of the written and speaking tests and hadtheir photograph taken on the test day successfully. Candidates won't be eligible to receive their TRFs if they are absent for anymodule of the written/speaking test, disqualified during the test, fail to have their photographs taken before the completion of the test,or if their test results are voided after the test.

Alien Registration Number（外侨登记号码）：简称“A”号码。本来是美国政府给予移民的身份编号（Identification number），在某些情况下，由美国移民归化局斟酌决定，这种登记号码也可能给予非移民学生和交流学者。不过，多数持有F-1、J-1和M-1签证留学美国的学生没有“A”号码。
Certificate of Compliance（守法证书）：付税情况审查记录文件，签发给离境外国国民，以证明当事人业已付清全部所得税。在一般情况下，F-1、J-1和M-1非移民签证的持有者需要守法证书。守法证书也称“离境签证”（Exit Visa）或“离境许可证”（Sailing Permit）。
Permanent Resident（长期定居者）：得到许可在美国无限期居留的外国国民，也即移民（immigrant）。
Practical Training（实习）：一个学生在其专业领域内从事的获得批准的全部时间的就业（full-time employment），可以是在一个教育项目执行期间，也可以是在该项目完成之后。具有F-1非移民身份的外国学生最多可以从事12个月的实习；J-1“交流学者”最多可以从事18个月的实习，称为“学业培训”（academic training）。具有M-1非移民身份的外国学生，只有在他们的教育项目完成之后才能申请实习，每在校正规学习4个月可允许其从事1个月的实习。持有F-1、J-1和M-1签证的学生都必须具备大学或交流项目主管机构的推荐书。F-1学生自愿从事实习（optional practical training）和M-1学生完成学业之后的实习（post-completion practical training）都必须得到移民归化局的批准。
