一、教材分析
本课内容是新标准小学英语第八册Module7 Unit1 He spent about twenty-one hours in space.本模块的教学内容是介绍人物的生平事迹。

课文内容是围绕着杨利伟的故事展开的，介绍他的儿子所写的有关于杨利伟事迹的文章，初步掌握过去时的用法。

主要任务是向小组成员介绍自己的榜样人物的生平事迹，是对这一话题的口头输出练习。

学完本模块，程度好的学生能用简单的英语向他人讲述杨利伟的故事，程度差的学生应能掌握新单词，读熟课文。

二、教学目标
1、Knowledge aims:
①能够听懂、会说、会认、会读新单词:spent (spend), video , proud , flew (fly) , someday
并能够完全掌握。

②能够灵活运用并练习短语：be proud of..../ be famous for..../ travel all over the world等短语。

③能够掌握并运用句子:He spent about twenty-one hours in space. In October 2003,My father flew into space in Shenzhou V.
2、Ability aims:
①熟练掌握过去时态，能够运用过去式来描述图片或故事。

②Describing a person’s life.
③学会简单地复述课文，并尝试阅读英语故事。

2、Emotion aims:
通过讲述杨利伟和Helen Keller的故事，激发并强化学生的学习兴趣，引导他们逐渐将兴趣转化为稳定的学习动机。

Be a useful man.（做一个有用的人）从而达到情感目标. 三、教学重难点：
重点：进一步复习一般过去时的运用，对还没有完全掌握的学生，给他们更多巩固和运用的机会，并帮助有能力的学生进行适当的拓展。

难点：会描述一个人的生平事迹。

Then learn these phrases:be famous for , fly into space , Make a video , come back , be proud of
