6. 教学目的与要求：
本课程旨在向学生全面介绍英语的语音语调，使学生对英语语音语调有较全面的认识，从而掌握英语的发音、语流的规律、语调的功能等，学会使用英语语音语调进行朗读与表达思想，与此同时，课程将通过对学生进行英语语音语调的听辨训练，打破我国学生在英语学习中存在的听力瓶颈，从而提高学生英语听说的流利程度，达到实现流畅与自如地使用英语进行交际的目的。
本课程要求学生以练习与实践为主，辅以理论学习，从听辨语音、语调能力的培养入手，将听力、发音与口头表达三方面的训练紧密结合起来，既强调语音语调基本功的训练，又注意语音语调的活用练习，以达到灵活运用的目的。
7. 教学内容：
(1). 英语音素的正确发音方法、辨音能力、模仿能力综合训练；
(2). 英语的单词重音及语句重音基本规律、表现形式、表意功能的讲授与训练；
(3). 英语语流的节奏规律基本特征、基本要素、强／弱读式的训练；
(4). 英语所特有的语音语调的结构、功能及其在交际中的运用。

6. Objectives:
This course is intended to help Chinese EFL students to improve their English pronunciation, including such elements as the correct pronunciation of individual phonemes and words in English as well as the rhythmic patterns of the English language and patterns and functions of English intonation, so that the students will be able to communicate more effectively with appropriate pronunciation and intonation.
