On Job-hunting Priorities
When a graduate hunts for a job, he has to take the priority issue of a few significant factors into consideration, such as the pay, the specific field, and the location.
Graduates give priority to different elements. Some graduates think the pay should take the first place, since they have been spending the money of the family all the time, and it’s time to do something as the reward to other family members. Besides, a high pay usually means a relatively high position in the company. Some would their major as the No. 1 element, or it would be a big waste of what they have learned in college. Meanwhile, the major chosen for college most of the time reflects their interest and preference. Still others offer the pride of place to the location of the job. They believe big cities like Beijing or Shanghai will provide more opportunities, or a place close to hometown will furnish more convenience between the graduate and his family since most families now have one child only.
As to me ,the ideal is the three elements combined together. But
when I have to take a choice, l would pick up the best choice close to my family since “East, west, home is the best”
1. 近几年出现了大学生就业难的现象
2. 产生这种现象的原因
3. 如何解决这一问题
In recent years, college students find it increasingly difficult to
get a decent (良好的) job. It sounds strange for the reason that(因为)young college students are usually intelligent, well-educated and aspirant(有抱负的).
Then what underlies the strange phenomenon?(这种奇怪的现象背后暗含着什么)There are several reasons for this. To begin with, nowadays college students aim too high. All they want are "good" jobs which could offer decent salaries, comfortable working conditions and high social status.(高收入,舒适的工作环境和高地位)Consequently, most college students would rather stay at home doing nothing and waiting for their ideal jobs. Another reason is that many colleges and universities fail to adapt their majors to(使课程适应于)the rapid development and growing demand of economy. So companies find that students are usually not fit for(适合)their positions.
Considering the seriousness(考虑到严重性)of unemployment of college students, I think it is high time that we should(我们是时候…了)take effective measures to solve the problem. Above all, college students should realize their own defects(缺点)and further(adv.进一步地)improve themselves to keep their competitive edge(竞争优势)in society. Moreover, colleges or universities should provide more trainings and internship(培训和实习)opportunities before the students enter society. Besides, college students should hold a right attitude towards jobs and set their job expectations at a suitable and rational level(合适而理智的). Only through these ways can the college students find a satisfactory and ideal job and have a brighter future.

Why Are There So Many Rural Laborers in Big Cities?
1. 近年来越来越多的民工涌入大城市
2. 产生这一社会现象的原因
For a number of years, there has been a steady rise in the number of rural laborers who flood into big cities. Many men work on construction sites, while many women work as dishwashers in restaurants or babysitters for city dwellers. Three reasons, in my mind, can account for this social phenomenon.
First and foremost, the limited land can no longer produce enough crops for an ever-increasing rural population. In the second place, there are far more opportunities in big cities—rural laborers dream of earning money through hard work. Last but by no means least, many of them want to live permanently in big cities, because they admire the way of living there, and wish their children to receive good education.
I firmly believe that if we try our best to create a healthy social atmosphere, rural laborers will make greater contribution to our nation.

Vocational education or college education ?
The number of people who take the college entrance examination has been decreasing these years. Some people consider vocational education an advantage to job-hunting,while others argue that a college diploma is more important.
ln my opinion, college education is more advisable or most people. First, college education is systematic and students can learn a lot in many aspects. Unlike vocational, which always focuses on
just one job skill, college education enables students to develop different po-tentials.15lSecond,to obtain a higher degree, such as a master’s degree, one has to go through college education to a bachelor’s degree first.
In a society where any job skill may become outdate-ed quickly with the appearance of new technologies, the limitations of vocational education prove even more serious. Only college education can prepare us for future challenges.

范文:Keeping Pets
There is no denying the fact that keeping pets is a hotly debated topic today. Some people claim that keeping pets is a good thing to do. They believe that pets, like cats and dogs, can help relieve the loneliness suffered by senior citizens and other social members who are confined to their homes for this reason or that. They also argue that keeping pets helps mankind understand animals' world and develop positive feelings toward them.
Others, however, hold the opposite view. They regard keeping pets as a useless but harmful thing to do. First, pets can transmit
diseases. Secondly, the noises and dung of pets are sources of pollution. Last but not least, as many rare birds and animals are kept as pets, they will surely be hunted on a large scale, which means a threat to the balance of the ecosystem.
Weighing the arguments of both sides, I am inclined to agree with the latter. Anyway, we can lessen our loneliness and express our love toward animals in other ways. And it is my belief that only by placing man and other species on an equal basis can we expect to have a lively and colorful world.。
