对家长说

本课的学习重点是There be句型以及There be和HoW many构成的疑问句。

There be句型表示“（某地）有……”，区别have/has表示“（某人或动物）有”。There be

句型可以有介词短语说明地点，也可以是没有表示地点的介词短语．

例：There is a bed.有一张床。There is a bed in my room.我房间里有一张床。

注意，表示地点的介词短语也可以放在句首 ，后加逗号。

例： On the second floor，there are three classrooms.在二楼有三间教室。

How many…加there be构成的特殊疑问句是询问“某地有多少人或某样东西”。

例： How many windows are there in the classroom?这间教室有几扇窗？

How many students are there in your school?你们学校有多少学生？

注意，这个问句的中be -定是用are。

在Look and learn(I go to school by…)栏目中，by school bus（乘校车），by taxi（乘出租 率）等是由by引起的“方式状语”，说明去某地（上学）时要使用的交通工具。

注意，这个方式状语不能说成by a car，by the car或by our car。

提问方式状语的问句是How do you…(go to school)?
