My Friend

I have many friends. One of them is my classmate Ma Hua。 He is a League member and one of the best

students in my class。 He is fond of English and good at it. He often practises reading aloud. So he has a good

pronunciation. He is always ready to help others. With his help I have made great progress. I have made up my

mind to catch up with him and to join the League in the near future.

My Father

My father is a kind man. He is not very tall but he is a man of perseverance。 He works very hard and his

services are highly appreciated。

My father is a man of devotion. Every morning he gets up the earliest to make breakfast for us。 In the

evening, he is always the late to come back home。 At weekends, he always takes us to go outing in his car。

He is a man of new words， but he often says to me “ A little learning is a dangerous thing"。 I will always

remember these words.

I love my father very much.

My Dream

我的理想

Yesterday, we had a discussion. The topic is: What is my dream? Every one has his dream. Some want to

be teachers, others want to be scientist。 My dream is to become a doctor。

My friends asked me why。 I told them my story。 When I was a small boy I was very weak。 Once I was

terribly ill. I had a high fever。 My parents sent me to the hospital but the doctors could do nothing for me.

Then my parents heard there was a very good doctor in another town. They took me there. I was saved。

A good doctor can save people’s lives. From then on I decided to become a doctor. I know it is not easy to

be a doctor. But I am determined to study hard. I am sure my dream will come true。

My Daily Life

我的一天

I get up at six every day. I dress myself quickly and have breakfast at half past six。

After breakfast I go to school.

I have four lessons in the morning and three in the afternoon。 I study hard and always

help my classmate with their lessons. I have lunch at school。 School is over at five.

After supper I read newspapers or watch TV for half an hour。 I prepare my lessons between

half past seven and nine. I go to bed at nine。

The above is a brief account of my daily life on weekdays。 There is no school on Sundays.

I usually review my lessons in the morning and call on some friends or to go to see a film

in the afternoon.

How I Learn English

It is known to all that language learning is not only a kind of knowledge, but a kind of practice。 Practice

makes perfect. In learning a foreign language， Marx has set a good example. From the very beginning I spared

no pains and paid as much attention as possible to listening, speaking, reading and writing. I read the English

stories with great interest and learn to keep English dairy every day。 Now I am able to appreciate English

poetry。

To meet the demands of present situation I must learn English well.
