一、Analysis of the teaching material:

本课核心教学项目是“The seasons and the weather in

seasons”,整个教学内容围绕一年四季以及四季中常见的活动展开话题。以此为语言背景,让学生学习、感知、认识、掌握大量的有关季节和天气的词汇以及相关活动的动词短语,通过问答、对话表演等活动,巩固学生用所学词汇并进一步复习表达自己的喜好特别是最季节的喜好以及在某个季节中的活动项目。从而达到学以致用,培养用英语进行交际的能力,在运用英语过程中掌握英语。

二、Teaching Objectives:

1.Knowledge aim (知识目标):

Vocabulary: spring ,summer, fall, winter, weather, warm,

season cold climb hills make snowmen/make a snowman

Sentence Patterns:We can do sth.

It’s a good season for doing sth/to do sth

It’s a good time to do sth/for doing sth

交际用语:What’s the weather like in spring/summer? - -

It’s warm/hot. How is the weather in fall/winter? - - - It’s

cool/cold.

2. Ability aim (能力目标):

培养学生听说读写能力,尤其是说的技能,使学生能通过小组合作,运用所学知识独立表达个人思想观点,通过任务型和交际型教学,让学生学会自主学习,归纳总结,培养学生主动学习和合作学习的能力;尤其对所学内容能主动复习并加以整理和归纳的能力。

3.Emotional aim (德育目标): 通过设计一系列的活动,激发学生的学习兴趣,让学生产生强烈的学习愿望,积极主动地真实地投入到学习中去;同事在通过颜色反映季节的这项活动中培养学生享受自然,热爱自然,保护自然的良好品质。

三 Points and difficulties

1. Key points:要求学生能综合运用四季、天气和相关活动的词汇谈论或描述自己喜欢的季节。

2.Difficulties:用动词不定和-ing形式灵活描述活动

五Teaching methods:

根据本节课的教材和初一学生好奇心强,思维活跃的特点,以及新课标的要求,我主要采用了任务型教学和情景交际法,在这种教学方法下,促使学生在学法上也产生改变,他们必须掌握学习的主动性,学会体验、实践、参与、合作与交流的学习方式。这种学法,更有利于发展学生的综合语言运用能力,使语言学习的过程成为学生形成积极的情感态度,主动思维和大胆实践,提高跨文化意识和形成自主学习能力的过程。

Step1 Review and lead in

1.Greetings and review (2min)

T Good morning, boys and girls .I’m your new teacher in

this lesson.

I am very happy to be here. I’ll be your new teacher today.

First ,let

me recognize some of you.

1) Excuse me, What’s your name, please?

2) How old are you?

3) Do you like flying kites?

4) Can you swim? 5) Which subject do you like best?

6) What’s your favorite subject?

2 Warming up:Chant (1 min)

Point the chant:

Spring is green. Summer is red. Fall is yellow. Winter is white.

3 Lead in the topic of unit8( 2mins )

T: Point to the four seasons, what are they?

The trees are green. There are many flowers in spring. The

sun is red in summer. The leaves of trees are yellow. The ground

is white in winter. Can you guess what they are? There are four

seasons in one year. Teach four seasons.

(Showing pictures.) We are going to learn about the seasons

and the weather.

Step2.Presentations: (10mins)

1)New vocabulary of seasons(2 mins)

a) Spring Summer Fall Winter.(Present by using flashcards

and

pictures. )

b) Ss listen to music and find out which season it is.

2)Lead in the weather.(1min)

T: In summer, it’s very hot (with a fan). In winter, it’s cold.

(Pretend to be very cold.) Draw pictures about “rainy, sunny”

Point to the two words and two pictures .Let’s students

guess

what the teacher is talking about.

3) New sentence patterns(4mins)

a) What’s the weather like in ..?

T: What’s the weather like in spring?

Ss: It’s warm.

(依次展示夏天,秋天,冬天以及相应的天气单词:hot, cool, winter)

b) ‘How ‘s the weather in..?”

T: How is the weather in ….?

Ss: It’s …...

Practice for several times.

4)Phrases of season activities (2mins)

( Showing pictures of spring, what can we do in spring?).

T: What can we do in spring/summer/fall/winter?

We can fly kites/go swimming/climb hills/make snowmen/a

snowman.

5) Read the new words and phrases.(1min )

6)New sentence patterns (4mins)

a)It’s a good season/time to do….

T: I like fall, because it’s a good season to climb hills.

I like winter too, because it’s a good time to make

snowmen. How about you?

b)It’s a good season /time for doing ..

T: I like spring, because it’s a good season for flying

kites.

I like summer, because it’s a good time for going

swimming. How about you, class?

seasons? Listen to 2a, you will find out Kangkang’s favorite

season.(2mins)
