可以用成一个介词，相当于 口语中的 till ，后接一个时间或某 件事
up to (a specified time) 某个动作持续直到（某一时刻）
等到你过生日那天再打开.
教材例句 （人教8B-2）

tired children don’t get home until 7 p.m. 疲劳的孩子们直到七点才放学回家。
注意：until的用法很特殊
在由until构成的句子中，动词如果是终止 性动词（不持续动词），则必须用否定式。 They won’t come back until the end of the year. 他们到年底才会回来。 （come是终止性动词，所以用否定式）
注意和另一个时间介词by的区别
“by+时间点”也可以表示“到。。。以前 为止”， 如果by后加表示将来的时间，应 用一般将来时；如果by后加表示过去的时 间，则用过去完成时
