强调句型是一种特殊句式，用于表示说话者强烈的感情或意愿。强调就是通过某种手段使句中某一部分所包含的信息比一般情况下显得更重要。强调句型的结构如下：
1基本句型：It is/was +被强调部分 +that/who +其他部分
It is by listening to and understanding each other that problems between parents and children
can be settled.
只有通过相互倾听和相互理解，孩子和父母之间的问题才能被解决。（强调方式状语）
It was Paul who/that broke the window just now. 刚刚是保罗打破了窗户。（强调主语）
强调句型用法汇总
2 一般疑问句形式：Is/Was it + +被强调部分 +that/who +其他部分？
Was it because he behaved badly that he was punished by his teacher?
他是因为不守规矩而受到了老师的惩罚吗？（强调原因状语从句）
3 特殊疑问句形式： 疑问词+is/was it that +其他部分? 疑问词就是被强调部分。
When was it that he made up his mind to take this course? 他是什么时候决定学这门课程的？
4 通常强调句子的主语宾语或状语
被强调部分可能是一个单词或词组，也可能是一个长句子。但是强调谓语动词通常用助动词do,does, did.
It was I that/who saw him in the street yesterday afternoon.昨天下午是我在街上看见他的。（强调主语）
It was him that/who I saw in the street yesterday afternoon. 昨天下午我在街上看见的就是他。（强调宾语）
It was in the street that I saw him yesterday afternoon昨天下午我是在街上看见他的。（强调地点状语）
He did write to you last week. 他上星期确实给你写信了。（强调谓语动词）
Tom does study hard now. 汤姆现在学习确实努力。（强调谓语动词）
5主谓一致
当被强调部分是主语时要注意主谓一致。
It is I who am responsible for this project. 是我负责这个项目。(am和I主谓一致）
It was not you but he that was asked to gather information for the company. 不是你而是他被要求为公司收集信息。（was是和he相呼应的)
6 含not..until结构的强调句
It was not until nearly a month later that I received the manager’s reply. 直到将近一个月后我才收到经理的回复。（强调时间状语）
7 强调句型和其他句型的区别
强调句判断：将It is/was和that/who去掉，再将被强调部分还原至句子本来的位置，如果仍是一个完整的句子，就是强调句。反之不是。例如
It was six years ago that he went to Tokyo. 他就是六年前去东京的。
去掉It was和that后，He went to Tokyo six years ago仍是一个完整的句子It is/was和that这就是一个强调句。
8 强调句可以和其他句子混合使用
It is the teacher who taught me when I was a child that I am going to visit.我要去拜访的人是我小时候教我的老师。
（强调宾语，宾语里teacher带一个定语从句）
It was not until the beginning of the meeting that he realized what I told him was the only
possible way to deal with the problem.
直到会议开始，他才意识到我告诉他的是解决这个问题的唯一可能的方法。
（强调时间状语，谓语realized后面宾语从句，而这个宾语从句的主语是what I told him，是个主语从句）
It was what he did rather than what he said that annoyed me. 惹恼我的不是他说的话还是他做的事。
（强调主语，主语是从句，且用了A rather than B结构。）
