Lesson 29 A Birthday Card一．教材分析1. 学生心理分析每个人都希望被他人关注、重视。
这一现象在个性初步形成的初一学生身上更能得到充分的体现。
能得到老师的赞赏对他们而言是一种巨大的肯定，这会让他们更加认真地投入到课堂活动中，有利于教师更顺利地开展教学活动。
2. 教学准备：录音机课文磁带多媒体单词卡片二．教学重点：现在进行时态三．教学步骤Step 1 Review任务：复习Lesson 28目的: Lesson 29语言技能: speaking活动形式：角色扮演操作过程：1.教师口头复习上一堂课的内容，采取问答形式启发学生的记忆。
2.几名学生自愿上来将上一堂课的内容以角色扮演的形式呈现出来。
3.师生问答。
T: Did they do a good job? Ss: Yes, they did a good job! 给表演者以正面鼓励，鼓励的语言会鼓舞学生参与课堂活动的信心。
4.Step II Leading-in任务：导入目的：借助实物引入新课语言技能：listening, reading and speaking语言知识：She is having….; She is making….; She is using….词语知识：card, poem, riddle, present, rose活动形式：师生对话表演操作过程：1.教师将生日卡片呈现给学生。
T: What’s this? Ss: It’s a card.T: Right. But it’s a birthday card. Today is Jenny’s grandma’s birthday. This card is for Jenny’s grandma. If you are Jenny, do you want to write something for grandma? Ss: Yes! T: What do you want to write for her? Please have a try!2.学生上台根据刚才的情境进行师生对话。

Jenny is making a birthday card for her.use sth to do sth eg. She is using paper and crayons to make the card.2. 能力目标(1)让学生了解如何用英语制作生日贺卡。
(2)让学生学会用现在进行时谈论动作。
3. 情感目标(1)鼓励学生积极主动参与课堂活动，并将自己课堂所学运用到生活当中来。

How about youe mother?What’s the weather like today? Do you thik it is good for a picnic? What do you have foe a picnic?Help the students to answer the questions in English.(2) Present :Yesterday Jenny was happy because she had a picnic with her family near the lake. Today she feels happy, too. Why? Because her grandma is having a birthday party. Do you know a birthday? Can you say something about a birthday?Help them to say :bitrhday, bitrhday card, bitrhday presents, bitrhday candles, bitrhday gifts,bitrhday party, bitrhday song, Happy birthday to you.2. 重点突破示例(1) Look at the pictures on page74. Who is the young man? What is he doing? Can you read thepoem? Help the students to read the poem together. Ask them to find out the new words in the poem.(2) Repeat the same step with the next person—Marry Smith.(3)Listening.Ask the students to go through the questions on page 76 Let’s Do It Number 1. Play the audio tape for the students. They should put up thei hands when they hear the answers while listening.Check the answers with whole class.Play the tape one more time. ( Forget to change Present Participle)Tom is siting in the arm chair. ( The wrong Present Participle)Check the answers with the whole class.(6) Pair work.Get the students to work in pairs, preparing a birthday card.
