Different living habits have always been an interesting topic in the country. Recently, another difference between southern Chinese and northern Chinese became a hot one: the way people shop at markets.People from southern China say that they always buy what they need for just one or two meals. It is normal for them to buy half of a Chinese cabbage, two potatoes and 0.25 kilograms of beef at a time. However, one may be laughed at if he does this in the north. Instead, buying vegetables and meat enough for a week is usual. Also, you can buy a small amount of fruit, such as a single apple or pear, each time in the south. Shop owners even help you peel and cut them. But shop owners in the north hardly offer such service. And many fruits are sold in baskets and boxes. The difference could be due to the different weather.Food can be kept for a long time in the north, as it is usually cold and dry there.
An English house of 1750 was different 7 one of 1650. A fashionable man in 1780 looked very different from his grandson in 1850.Today fashions change very quickly. We hear about things 8 more quickly than in the past. Newspapers, telephones and televisions send information from one country 9 another in a few hours. New fashions mean that people will 10 new things, so yo u see there is money in fashion.( ) 1. A. color B. clothes C. food D. money( ) 2. A. nice B. beautiful C. expensive D. fashionable( ) 3. A. at B. by C. in D. with( ) 4. A. even B. just C. only D. already( ) 5. A. change B. changes C. are changed D. changed( ) 6. A. Where B. When C. If D. As( ) 7. A. on B. for C. with D. from( ) 8. A. very B. much C. too D. quite( ) 9. A. in B. by C. to D. with( )A. buyB. sellC. getD. use10.
Fashion not only in Clothes。
And they use the adjective “fashionable” in the same way: “She was wearing a 2 coat.
But of course there are fashions 3 many things, not only in clothes. There are fashions in holidays, in restaurants, in films and books.
There are 4 fashions in school subjects, jobs…and in languages.
Fashions 5 as time goes. 6 you look at pictures of peopleor things fro m the past, you will see that fashions have always changed.“看过去的像片或物品”和“看到时髦总是在变化”是条件与结果的关系,因此,本句应选引导条件状语从句的连词。
An English house of 1750 was different 7 oneof 1650. 不同”,要用固定词组be different from。
如:Newspapers, telephones and televisions send information from one country 9 another in a few hours.
Today fashions change very quickly. We hear about things 8 more quickly than in the past…New fashions mean that people will 10 new things, so you see there is money in fashion.解答过程中要弄清very, much, too, quite; buy, sell, get, use两组词的意思及用法区别。
