Unit 5《Famous People》教案——第一课时教学目标1.使学生能够听说读写本课词语:inventor, artist, scientist, poet, writer, American, French, Danish, poems, paint 等。
2.能够把所学词语运用到句型中,用一般过去时态描述一些名人:He was Chinese. He was a poet. He was good at writing poems.能够运用这些句型进行口语交流。

课时安排1课时教学过程Warming up兴趣导入:课件出示钟南山的相关信息,让学生猜一猜这是谁?Step 1 lead in课件展示Get ready主题情景图,教师手指这个情景图:“Look! There are some famous people. Who are they? Do you know them? Who can answer my question? OK, in this unit ,we’ll learn about famous people.本单元的主题是famous people名人。
教师把词语写在黑板上,领读几遍。
Step 2 Presentation1.多媒体展示第一张图片,师:Look, who is he?生:This is Thomas Edison. He was an inventor. He was American. (关注时间,动词应用过去式)inventor [ɪnˈventə(r)]发明家,冠词用an. American美国人,美国的,前面如果用冠词,也是an. 教师书写并领读单词。
