Unit 3How do you get to school?一、单元分析本单元以“谈论交通工具和两地距离及所需时间”为主题。
学生身边充斥着各种交通工具,他们几乎每天都在使用交通工具,所以该主题贴近学生生活,非常具有实用性。
通过本单元的学习,使学生学会询问对方使用哪种交通工具的基本句型:“How do you go to...? How does he/she go to...?”;掌握使用各种交通工具的表达法:“ride a bike, walk, take the subway/bus/train/car..., on the bus/train/car..., by bus/train/car...”等;由此衍生出相关话题--谈论两地距离的句型“How far is it from...to...?”及回答路程的表达法“Ten kilometers Eight miles...”;还有询问两地之间所需时间的句型“How long does it take?”等。
通过以上重要句型的操练,不但能够加深学生对一般现在时态的理解和运用,而且也让学生了解别人使用哪种交通工具、两地路程及使用某种交通工具所需时间,以此增进同学间的了解。
同时帮助学生根据自己的需要和爱好比较选择交通工具,达到学以致用的目的。
本单元的核心语言项目是“Talk about how to get to places”,主要话题是“Transportation”。
从Section A的询问交通方式“How...?”和使用各种交通工具的表达法“take/ride..., walk”,自然而然地过渡到询问两地的路程“How far...?”及所需时间“How long does it take?”等一系列相关话题及重要句式,从Section B某个特殊群体上学的交通方式的介绍,到学生自己上学的方式以及细节问题的探讨,从单个语言点的输入到最后综合语言任务的输出,层层推进,符合学生的认知能力及心理特点。
