六、转态译法

所谓转态译法，就是在翻译过程中把原文中的被 动语态转换为译文中的主动语态，或把原文中的 主动语态转换成译文中的被动语态。一般情况下， 无论是书面语，还是口头语中，英语比汉语用更 多的被动语态。 1. New Zealand had no knowledge of this and had not been consulted on these reported plans. 新西兰不知道这件事，也没人同它商讨过这些传 闻的计划。

二、断句译法



把一些长句断开来翻译就叫断句译法。 1. It is very easy to bring some books from the bookstores and libraries, but to learn the knowledge in the books and put the knowledge into practice is by no means an easy job. 从书店和图书馆带一些书回来是轻而易举的。// 然而，从书中学得知识并把这些知识运用到实践 中去就决不是那么简单的事情。 (拆开并例句)

（1）总分复句
如果汉语流水句的表述是先总说后分述，或者先分述后总说；先具体后概述 ，或者先概述后具体，可以使用断句法。
例5．长城，东起山海关，西至嘉峪关，横跨中国北部七个省、自治区，全长 六千多公里，号称万里长城，是中国古代劳动人民智慧的结晶，是世界伟大 的建筑奇迹之一。
译文：Starting at Shanhai Pass in the east and ending up at Jiayu Pass in the west, the Great Wall traverses, up and down, over numerous mountains and valleys in China’s five northern provinces and two autonomous regions. As it extends over a distance of more than 6,000 km, it is called in Chinese the Wanlichangcheng, which means “Ten Thousand Li Long Wall”. It is a symbol of intelligence of the working people in ancient times and also one of the great architectural miracles in the world.
译文2：In this world there are plenty of complicated contradictions, and some deepseated ones have just come to light.

16.2 中式英语形成原因
老一辈翻译家庄绎传认为，中式英语的形成原因 主要有：对原文理解不透，只顾字面上对应；对 英语特点不熟，沿用汉语的搭配和结构。（庄绎 传： 2002）例如：“你怎么看待中国近年来的 发展？”中式英语翻译:How do you see China's development in recently years? 正确译文：What do you think of China's development in recent years?

中式英语形成原因
中式英语是由于英汉语言、文化及思维方式差 异、译者翻译能力等诸多因素共同作用产生的。 在中国人习得英语的过程中，中式英语不可避免, 它是一种中介语,具有客观性和一定的系统规律性 。故而对其进行搜集归类分析有助于探寻对策、 帮助提高英语运用能力、在汉英翻译中避免中式 英语。

中式英语形成原因
1．汉语母语思维模式的影响。 “任何人学英语, 最自然、最容易做的事就是把自己的母语的习惯 套在外语上,有时套对了,有时就套错了,那些母语 和外语不同的地方就一定会套错。”例如,受汉语 的影响，我们有些学生将“他的两只眼睛瞎了。 ”直译为“His two eyes are blind.”而正确 的翻译应是“He is blind completely”或 “He has lost his eyesight. ” 2．英语教师及教材的影响。中国的英语学习者大 都缺乏和外国人直接接触的机会,他们的英语知识 主要来源于本国教师以及本国人编写的语言教材, 深受影响，并不自觉地将其运用到翻译实践。

汉英行文语篇布局习惯的不同
按照原文，是“黄龙是一美妙去处”，而“黄龙 ”之所以美妙，应该不只因为“苍翠树林”。由 编者改译的译文三，将第二句话的主语处理为代 词“It”，代表前文的“黄龙”，这样意思就回归 为“黄龙美妙”，而不是“树林美妙”；主语前 后衔接一致也符合英语行文习惯。 另外，译文三 把“潺潺流水”由bubbling streams改译为 babbling streams, 把“鸟声婉转”由 songbirds改译为singing birds。

第一节 对等译法
一、“假朋友”问题（false friend） “假朋友”即“看似相同，实则有别”
的假词义相符词语。翻译过程中很多 误译现象往往由“假朋友”所导致。 这里介绍四种类型的“假朋友”：

第二节 增词译法
一、语法需要的增词
汉英属于两种不同的语系（汉藏语系 和印欧语系），在词法、句法和语在汉英这两种相差较大的语言之间，也 存在大量的对等表达，其中以单词对等率最 高，而成语、谚语、词组的对等率相对较低。
