III 比较篇
比较型议论文实则是运用比较的手段来阐述自己的观点。
例如：where to live – in the city or in the country?显然，这种类型的作文，要求学生在比较所讨论的两个事务的优缺点时，有自己的观点，有自己的倾向。
因此在具体写作时，对赞成的事务，优点要详写，缺点要少些甚至略过；而对反对的事务，优点要少写略写，一笔带过，对其缺点则要不惜笔墨，大写特写。
这样处理，作者的观点才能得以体现。
根据十句作文模式，这种作文有两种写法。
一种是A1A2A3 –B1B2B3的整体比较法（block to block）,另一种是A1B1-- A2B2--A3B3分项比较法（item to item）.
1.block to block写法：
Part 1
S1: Topic: the subjects to be compared –引出要比较的两事物。
S2: Thesis：Your preference for B over A –作者的观点：赞成哪个，反对哪个。
Part 2
S3：Concede A’s advantages –承认所反对的事物有优点。
{S4: But A’s disadvantage 1
S5: A’s disadvantage 2
S6: A’s disadvantage 3} –着重揭示其缺点{S7: Illustrate B’s advantage 1
S8: Illustrate B’s advantage 2
S9: Illustrate B’s advantage 3} –用一句或半句承认其缺点，但重点放在其优点上。

Bicycles as an important means of
transportation
(1)Bicycles and buses are two important means of transport in most Chinese cities. (2) Although in recent years more and more new and big diesel(柴油发动机) buses are being put in service, bicycling hasn’t declined, instead it has grown steadily.
(3) People prefer riding bicycles to taking buses for several reasons. (4) First, it is convenient to ride the bicycle to work and to do shopping, because with it, you can go anywhere and anytime, unlike buses. (5) Second, bicycles are regarded, especially by college and school students, as an economic alternative to buses whose fares have increased 5 times in the past 3 years. (6) Most people, however, ride bicycles mainly to stay
out of traffic jams. (7) In many big cities, congestion in the rush hour is so serious that taking a bus proves a dreaded ordeal. (8) Apart from the queues for buses which often reach staggering(惊人的) proportions, you have to be strong enough to shove (推挤) and fight before you are able to get on a bus, for every bus arrives and leaves packed as fully as a sardine tin. (9) Even when you are lucky enough to board, it will take ages for a bus to carry you to your destination because the traffic on the streets has virtually come to a standstill（静止，停下）.
Because of these unique advantages offered by riding bicycles over taking buses, bicycles have remained and will still be a very popular means of transport in China.
