fiddling about with sprouts, and the would-be buyers follow suit. On the other hand, the din of

fruit-sellers crying their wares and of purchasers arguing and bargaining makes you dizzy.

the food-market. Various local characteristics food begins to impinge on your eyes, such as cold jelly,

pancakes, rice cake and so on. Keep walking and you can find the vegetable-market, where you can

buy everything you need for the most sumptuous dinner. The most important thing is that what they

sell is always planted by themselves. There you can also find the spice-market, with its pungent and

exotic smells.

One of the most unforgettable parts of the bazaar is the domestic animal market. As you

approach it, the cry of the chicken and duck fighting with each other, of the dog chasing and barking

at the cat, of the cow and goat chewing their hay disdainfully is continuous and makes you feel so

complicated. Farmers often come here to select puppy used to guard home. They watch the dogs one

by one, selecting and pricing. Once they narrow down their choice, they will begin the really serious

bargaining. At first, they give a very low price, which is almost half of what the seller required. Then,

they add the money little by little, such as give one Yuan more each time. After that, if the seller still

does not agree, they will pretend to leave. Usually, on their way back, the seller will shout to them

with the lowest price which is accepted for both sides. The trade is done.

At the bazaar, people can find all kind of commodities, ranging from daily-use necessities, local

productions, fruits and vegetables to means of production and domestic animals, scattering in

different parts of the bazaar. It can be said that the bazaar is the best place to understand the rural
