Thank you for your invitation and warm hospitality.

It is a privilege and honor to be invited at the United Nations to deliver a talk on

“Freeze–thaw cycle test and damage mechanics models of alkali-activated slag

concrete” I would like to thank Professor Cui ,for inviting me to deliver this talk .I

hope that the Congress will provide the opportunity for personal exchange of

scientific results, facilitate the making of new acquaintances, and strengthen

personal friendships among scientists (participants) from different parts of the world.

I will restrict my presentation to about 5 to 10 minutes

First, I would like to reflect upon the International perspective on “Freeze-thaw

cycle test and damage mechanics models of alkali-activated slag concrete”. The

COA国际学术大会：

随着经济发展和社会进步，中国骨科科研发展蓬勃展开，各个骨科专业临床和基础研究取得了长足进步，在借鉴国外同行先进经验和技术的同时，中华医学会骨科学分会结合中国人实际情况，为发展我国独立自主的骨科事业而创办了属于中国人自己的国际学术会议——COA国际学术大会。

自2006年创立以来，COA国际学术大会分别在北京、郑州、苏州、厦门、成都举行。

第六届COA国际学术大会2011年在北京举办，其科学专题概括了骨科基础研究、脊柱、关节、创伤、骨肿瘤、关节镜与运动医学、微创与导航技术、骨质疏松、足踝外科、护理、骨显微外科、小儿骨科、骨科康复等方面的最新技术和临床进展，设立骨科教程、大会报告和壁报等多种交流形式。

骨科学又称矫形外科学。是医学的一个专业或学科，专门研究骨骼肌肉系统的解剖、生理与病理，运用药物、手术及物理方法保持和发展这一系统的正常形态与功能，以及治疗这一系统的伤病。

骨科是各大医院的重要组成部分，主要研究骨骼肌肉系统的解剖、生理与病理，运用药物、手术及物理方法保持和发展这一系统的正常形态与功能。常见的骨科疾病包括创伤、椎间盘突出、骨质疏松、关节炎等。

新中国成立后，中国骨科得到快速、巨大的发展。我国已是世界上骨科医师最多的国家之一。
