四. 语言点解析

1. 时间状语从句

A. 引导词：

1) when, while, as（当……的时候）

when可以引导延续性动词，也可引导非延续性动词（短暂性动词）。且从句动作既可和主句的动作同时发生又可在主句的动作之前或之后发生，如：

(1)I’ll call you when I get there. 我一到那里就给你打电话。

(2)He was listening to music when the telephone rang. 电话响的时候，他正在听音乐。

(3)When he was listening to music, the telephone rang. 他正在听音乐的时候，电话响了。

While（1）强调主句的动作与从句的动作同时持续地进行，用于这一用法时while引导的时间状语从句和主句中的谓语动词必须是延续性动词，（2）主句的动作发生在从句动作的进行过程中，主句中的谓语动词通常是非延续性动词，。如：

(1)She was cooking while her son was watching TV. 她正在做饭，而她儿子下在看电视。

(2)I met her while I was touring in France. 我在法国旅行的时候遇见了她。

as多用于口语，侧重表示两个动作同时发生(包括一个主语同时进行两个动作, 可译为“一边......，一边......”。)，或者一种动作随着另一种动作的变化而变化。如：

(1)I saw him as he was getting off the bus. 正当他下公共汽车时, 我看见了他。

(2)He jumps as he goes along. 他边走边跳。

2) before（在……之前）。如：

Before I get off the bus, I will call you. 下公共汽车前，我会给你打电话的。

3) after（在……之后）。如：

He went home after he finished his homework.他完成作业后回家了。

4) until（直到）如：

He didn’t go home until he finished his homework.他直到完成作业才回家。

5) as soon as（一……就）

He laughed as soon as he saw his mother.他一见到他妈妈就笑了。

She will write to you as soon she gets to Shanghai.她一到上海就会给你写信。

B. 时态

1）当主句为一般过去时时，从句常用过去的某种时态。

While I was doing my homework , the telephone rang.

2) 当主句的时态为一般将来时，从句用一般现在时。

I will call you as soon as I get to Beijing.

He is going to be a teacher when he grows up.

2. in/on/to + 方位

in the + 方位名词 + of… 指一个地区在另一个地区的范围之内

如：Haikou is in the north of Hainan.

on the + 方位名词 + of… 指相互接壤但互不管辖的两个地区

如：Russia is on the north of China.

to the + 方位名词 + of… 指互不接壤并互不管辖的两个地区

如：Japan is to the east of China.

3. Would you like to come to China for your vacation? 你想来中国度假吗？

4. How far is it from here to the Ming Tombs? 从这里到明十三陵有多远？

--It's about two and a half hours by bike. 骑自行车大约需要两个半小时。

本节课为该话题的第一节课，建议用1-2课时上完。主要活动为Section A 的1a和3。

本话题以游览天安门广场为话题展开故事情节，先是邀请，接着是游览，从而对天安门广场进行描述，并引出方向及方位词。通过谈论天安门各个建筑物的位置关系来练习方向和方位介词。本话题还以日记形式叙述了旅行的感受，培养学生热爱旅游、积极探索、热爱祖国的态度。 while, when, before, after, as, until 和as soon as引导的时间状语从句是本话题的语法重点。在Section A 的1a，Michael
