Career Plan
My career goal is to set up an investment or consulting company and aims at assisting those excellent and newly setup Chinese anime companies to be successful in the competitive market. In order to achieve my career goal, I divide my goal into three steps:
1)Studying economics in NUS, then I will find an intern job in Singapore during my
study period. There are plenty of well-known financial corporates or consulting companies from all over the world which are good at economic research in
various industries, for example DBS. Working in those corporates, I could utilize the theory into practice and cultivate my ability to work with international teams.
Also, I could learn the knowledge that how these excellent financial corporates work and make decisions. I think this intern experience will make me more
competitive in job market when I return to China.
2)After graduation, I would like to work as an industry analyst. After I finish study
in Singapore, I think I will definitely meet the requirements of this promising job in China and the challenging work will makes me become more competitive,
professionally, and mature. I tend to enter a global financial corporate or
consulting company, for purpose of enriching my professional experience and
building up my analysis framework.
3)In twenty years, I will set up an investment or consulting company. I choose
anime companies as my own company’s targeted customers, because anime is not only my interest, but also my research concentration. I started to research in Chinese anime industry three years ago, and I realize that with the support of
government, anime industry will be one of the most promising industries in China.
Besides, this industry faces with a huge potential market, including billions of
children and teenagers. However, most anime companies still confront two main challenges: lack of capital and unscientific management strategies. Thus, I wish I could offer them professional and comprehensive guidance or raise
private-equity fund for those promising companies.
I know that it is the long way for us to develop the anime industry. I am not able to change the external environment that the anime companies face (for example policy and law). But at least I could help more talent drawers and promising companies by subsidizing them or giving them advice in business operation. Therefore, Chinese people have more and more accesses to excellent domestic anime with various kinds of Chinese factors. That is my career goal’s biggest benefit for China.。
