We're staying at a hotel that has amazing pools and waterslides, which will be perfect after long days at the parks.When we finally get back home from our big trip, I'll have about a month before I have to go to summer camp. During that time, I plan on hanging out with my friends pretty much every day. We're going to have lots of sleepovers, go to the pool and waterpark, maybe catch a movie or two, and just goof around. My best friend Emily and I are already making a list of ideas for fun things we can do. We absolutely have to have at least onelemonade stand too! I signed up for wilderness survival skills, which is going to teach me how to build shelters, start fires, cook over a campfire, and read maps and compasses so I don't get lost in the woods. How cool is that?! I really hope I get to see some wildlife too. The brochure said campers sometimes see deer, foxes, hawks, and other forest animals. I'll make sure to keep my camera handy at all times.One of the best parts about Camp Tawingo is that there's no technology allowed. That means no phones, tablets, video games, or anything else like that. At first, I was disappointed that I'd be disconnected for two whole weeks. But now I think it will be really nice to just unplug for a little while and get out in nature. I have a feeling those two weeks are going to fly by though. I can't wait for campfires at night, campfire songs,sleeping in a cozy cabin with friends, and making all kinds of new memories.When I get back from camp, there will only be a few weeks of summer vacation left before school starts again. That's okay though, because those are the best few weeks! All of my friends will be back from their camps and trips, and we'll get to do whatever we want.
