《What will I be like?》教学案例分析一、教学背景1、学情分析预备(6)班是一个普通班,共有学生39人。
学生英语基础一般,且由于各个地区的英语教学水平和教学要求不同,学生们的英语水平比较参差,尤其是一部分来自乡校的学生,英语口语比较差。
但总体来说,通过小学的学习,学生们都有了一定的语言知识和语言技能,已初步适应初中的英语教学要求,对教师的教学方法也已习惯。
大多数学生踏实认真,喜欢英语,求知欲强,有着强烈的愿望要把英语学好。
根据教材和学生实际,本节课我的教学目标如下:知识与技能:学习并掌握词汇,了解课文大意,学会描述他人。
过程与方法:学生通过听、朗读和说的练习,掌握将来时的表达,然后通过相互合作,学会描述某人的外貌和可能从事的工作,并学会针对他人的想法表达自己的意见。
情感态度与价值观:通过本课的学习,懂得树立理想的重要性,从而培养健康的价值观和理想观。
2、教学设计思想我校使用的教材是《Oxford English》(上海版)6B,这套教材是根据最新制订的英语课程标准所编写的,今年也是首次采用。
教材的最大优点是便于学生记忆和扩大语言材料,开阔思路,提高兴趣,培养学生的语言交际及创新能力。
本课内容是牛津英语初中预备年级第二学期第5单元的读、讲部分。
本单元主要是对上学期已出现过的将来时态进行巩固。
在教学的过程中,强调对于将来时的掌握及输出。
在导入部分,通过歌曲和对话的形式巩固和复习之前已学习的知识,以期达到以旧带新的效果。
在新授课的部分,通过词汇学习、朗读练习、听力训练和小组对话等任务,完成对本课词汇、对话和语段的学习。
在拓展部分要求学生运用课上学习的知识,通过小组讨论的形式,设想他人的未来,并进行理想教育。
二、教学过程叙述1、创设氛围,引入课题课程的一开始,我播放一首名为“What will I be like?”的英文歌曲作为导入,并要求所有的同学跟着音乐一起大声的唱起来。
有趣的歌词、简单又不失琅琅上口的节奏,让同学们都放开嗓门,开心地唱了起来,有的学生还和着歌曲的拍子打起了节奏。

有趣的歌词、简单又不失琅琅上口的节奏,让同学们都放开嗓门,开心地唱了起来,有的学生还和着歌曲的拍子打起了节奏。
课堂的气氛渐渐活跃起来。
接着,我就自然地过渡到第二个练习,“From the song, we know the little girl is asking her mother ‘What will I be like?’. Now can you tell me what you woul d like to be in the future?”(从歌曲中我们知道,小女孩问她妈妈“我长大了会怎样?”现在我来问问你们,你长大了想干什么?)接着我将对话在幻灯片上播放出来,让学生根据模式来进行对话练习:S1: What do you want to be?S2: I want to be a/an…S1: Why?S2: Because I like … What about you?S1: I…由于对话的内容是上学期已经学习过的,所以学生们很快就进入状态。
连续几对学生都能顺利地完成对话,即便是最后两组能力较差的同学也都较好地完成了操练。
而学生们最初的紧张和不安经过歌曲和对话的调动,渐渐消失了。
2、词不离句,准确使用学生的热情经过歌曲和对话,被调动了起来。
于是我乘热打铁,开始了词汇的学习。
“You have told me what you want to be in the future. Now I would like to introduce you a friend of mine. She is a very good teacher. ”(你们已经告诉我你们将来想从事的职业。
现在我想向你们介绍我的一位好友。
她是一位很棒的老师。
)屏幕一闪,学生们熟悉的数学老师出现在屏幕上。
这下,学生们一下子就热闹了起来。
我趁机说道,“I believe you are very familiar with her. But today I will tell you more about her. Would you like to listen?”(我相信你们对她已经很熟悉了,但今天我想告诉你们更多关于她的故事。
你们想知道吗?)“Yes!”学生们异口同声道。
于是,我开始介绍有关于数学老师的一些情况。
在介绍过程中,我把本单元的词汇,如be… centimeters tall; weigh… kilogram; wear glasses; be slim; be good-looking和be good at都融入到句子中。
在一边介绍老师的同时,一边学习新单词。
由于学生们对他们数学老师是非常熟悉和喜爱的,所以在介绍时,学生们都聚精会神,也表现出充分的好奇,学习的效果相当好。
在学习的过程中,我也不忘培养学生的朗读技能。
针对一些较长和较难读的单词、词组,我都标上了音标并划分了音节,一一跟读、朗读并纠正发音。
接着是对刚才所学词汇的应用,为此我设计了一个看图填空的环节,目的是巩固和检测学生之前的学习。
“Just now, you have learnt more about your maths teacher. Now I will introduce my three friends to you. I will show you their pictures. Can you help me describe them?”(刚才你们已经知道了更多有关于你们数学老师故事。
现在,我想再介绍三个朋友给你们认识。
我会给你们看他们的照片,你能根据照片来描述一下他们三个吗?)我在屏幕上展示了一位名叫Wing女孩的图画,同时我还在屏幕上显示了几句带有空格的句子,要求学生们根据之前学过的单词和词组完成填空。
题目是这样的:Wing: She is tall and slim.She is good-looking.She is good at singing.In fifteen years’ time, she will possibly be a singer.在练习时,我还将其他新的单词和词组融入介绍的句子中,并逐一学习和跟读。
然后再介绍第二、第三幅图片时再作为看图填空的练习进行复习巩固。
这些题目包括:Sittar: He is tall and thin.He wears glasses.He is good at writing.In fifteen years’ time, he will possibly be a reporter.Hurst: He is a little bit fat.He really likes eating bread and cakes.He is good at cooking.In fifteen years’ time, he will possibly be a baker.经过这些简单的练习,大部分学生已经能够将刚才所学的词汇放进句子中进行具体的使用。
但是由于题目的限制,仍有几个单词没有操练。
此外,一些水平较差的学生,也没能很好的掌握这些词汇。
所以,我根据刚才所介绍的三位朋友Wing,Sittar 和Hurst的情况编写了一首儿歌,将那些没有操练到的词汇都放到儿歌中,希望通过琅琅上口的节奏让各个水平和层次的学生都能掌握着几个重要的词汇。
我把儿歌展示出来,然后自己一手拍桌子一边跟着节奏朗读了一遍。
My friendsI think Wing will be a singer.She’s good at singing, and loves music.I think Hurst will be a baker.He loves eating, pizza, bread and cakes.Sittar is really a good-looking boy.He wants to be a great reporter.学生听到如此有趣的节奏和儿歌,都显得很兴奋,眼中闪着蠢蠢欲动的火花,小手也在桌子上摩拳擦掌。
于是我趁机说道“Do you like this chant? Isn’t it very interesting?” “Yes!” “Would you like to try? Now use your hand and let’s read it together!” 出乎我意料之外的是,原本我以为会比较困难的节奏,学生们竟不费吹灰之力就掌握了七八。
所以在第二遍的时候,我就放手让学生们自己操练,我只是在一边帮忙打节奏。
而学生们也顺利地完成了儿歌的朗诵。
3、聚焦词汇,应用对话,复习巩固通过跟读词汇,完成填空和朗诵儿歌三个部分,学生们对于本课的单词、词组已经有了一定程度的了解和掌握。
于是,我开始了本课中对话部分的学习。
但在进行对话的学习之前,仍然有两个重要的词汇需要学习,所以我设计了一个简单的填空练习,试图达到承上启下的作用。
我首先抓住本课的一个语法重点be good at doing来做文章,设计了一个练习,要求学生完成填空。
“We know Wing is good at singing; Sittar is good at writing. How about other people? What are they good at?”(我们知道Wing擅长唱歌;Sittar擅长写作。
那么其他职业的人呢?他们又擅长什么呢?)接着我在屏幕上展示了四种职业的图片和四个需要填空的句子,要求学生们看图回答。
S1: A fireman is good at putting out fires.S2: A reporter is good at writing reports.S3: A singer is good at singing.S4: A baker is good at baking cakes.四位学生的回答都很正确,而且语音语调都不错,尤其他们都注意到be good at doing sth.这个重要的语法点,所以我给他们的回答很高的评价。
“Excellent! You did a great job. Now can you tell me what a maths teacher is good at?”(回答得很好。
那么你们能告诉我一个数学老师擅长什么?)“A maths tea cher is good at teaching maths.(数学老师擅长教数学。
)”一个学生抢着说。
“Yes!”,我乘机继续道:“Miss Zhong is good at teaching maths. I think she will be a great maths teacher in 15 years’ time. Do you agree?”(钟老师擅长教数学。
