If I'm having a bad day or feeling sad about something, she is always the first one to notice and ask what's wrong. Emily gives the warmest, tightest hugs that immediately make me feel safer and more loved. She's an amazing listener and never judges me for expressing my feelings, no matter what they are.I try my best to be just as supportive and caring towards Emily. We've known each other longer than anyone else in our class. I remember the first day I met her - she had curlier hair than any other girl and the biggest smile. She came right up to me and said "Hi, want to be friends?" Just like that! Jessica is more outgoing than me for sure.From that day on, we did everything together. We always picked to be partners for activities and games. Jessica is way better at sharing than me. Whenever we had to share toys or art supplies, she was more generous in dividing them up fairly. I can be a little greedier sometimes, but Jessica helps me be nicer.In kindergarten, we got in trouble once for giggling too much during storytime. Jessica always makes me laugh harder than anyone with her funny jokes and voices. We got time-outs for disrupting class, but we just couldn't stop the giggles! Whenever I get stuck on homework, Jessica is able to explain it in a simpler way that I understand better. Patient teachers like her are more helpful than any textbook.Not only is she smarter, but Jessica works harder on her schoolwork than the rest of us. She turns in neater papers with fewer mistakes. I'm more sloppy with my handwriting and have to double check for careless errors. I try to be more careful like Jessica, but she's just naturally more diligent.Jessica is more creative than me too when it comes to art class and crafts. She uses brighter colors and has moreimaginative ideas. My art projects are a bit blander in comparison. I wish I had Jessica's artistic skills!Even though she's talented in so many ways, Jessica is extremely humble. She doesn't brag or act like she's better than anyone. Jessica has way more patience than other kids when people need extra help. She's kinder to people who struggle than most.I've seen Jessica being nice to kids who didn't have many friends. She's more inclusive than others on the playground. If someone is getting left out of a game, Jessica is quicker to let them join in. She's less judgmental of people's differences. Jessica treats everyone equal no matter what.Not only is Jessica smart and talented, she's also braver than me in other ways. Like when we go on field trips, Jessica is less nervous about trying things I'm afraid to do. She was fearless climbing the rock wall and going down the big slide at the playground. I'm more of a chicken than her!Jessica stood up to a bully for me once on the bus. This older kid was teasing me about my lunchbox and Jessica defended me. She was bolder than I would have been in standing up to him. I was so shy and Jessica spoke up for me. She's more courageous than most kids that way.Loyalty is one of Jessica's strongest qualities - she's a more faithful friend than anyone I know. Once you're her friend, Jessica has your back no matter what. She's stuck with me through all my awkward phases and rough times better than a sister would.There's no doubt in my mind that Jessica is more trustworthy with secrets than anyone else too. We tell each other everything! Jessica never breaks a pinky promise. If you confide something in her, she's way more reliable in keeping it just between you two. I know I can trust Jessica with anything.Overall, Jessica is simply the best friend a kid could have. Jessica is superior in pretty much every way, but she's still so humble and down-to-earth about it all.
