M：holla,Mr wang,glad to see you.
T:Glad to see you,too.and today ,I wanna talk something about
your daughter .Whad’ya
think of her behavior recently?
M【毫无察觉的】:all right.she’s feather-brained(愚蠢的，不切实际的）like what she used to be.You know,i just wanted her to help
me wash the dishes,and finally they all broke into
pieces.she
just chased her tail(瞎忙活).
T【勉强的笑着打断】：ok，anything else？any unusual behavior?
M:No,she performances just as usual.
T:Umhm（不赞同的语气）
M【犹豫】:Or ......the calm before the storm(暴风雨前的平静）？All right,she tends to hanging out with her wing man（best
friend）or pulling an all nighter(整晚熬夜学习）。Oh,my honey,you
can’t imagine how hardworking she’s.
T:You should check it out(pay attention).i have heard that she
falls in love with someone,you know,girls are easy to be ripped
off.(被骗)and romantic relationship may go to her head(冲昏头脑)。
M【并未觉得有什么大不了的语气】:Well,I see,but to be straight（honest），study isn’t anything,and i believe in my daughter,she word. can get a grip(控制自己) of herself。Even if she screws up（犯错）and is back to wall(陷入困境),it’s the baptism of fire(火的洗礼，严峻的考验)。

D:hey dad
F:hey honey, I wanna to have a secret straight (honest) talk
just between us
D:Mmhm, OK (keep on sending her message)
F:What’s up? Do you have something important now?
D:Emmh, NO, I’m just having a talk with my homie.
F:OK. Let’s get st night ,I saw a young boy and you
hang out the street. Is he your boyfrend?
D:No...umhm,he is just my mate .he is a teacher’s pet
.He helps
me when I have something in a jam ,that’s it. We were just chatting to kill time last night.
F:honey ,I saw you both holded each other’s hand.
D:mmhm...mmhm..(nervous)
F:Chill out,honey,I’m not pissed off, so don’t bullshit to
me.I

D:mmhm,ok dad. He’s my boyfriend. And he is a jock .wo love

C:Cindy(The daughter)
F:Hey,chick(小妞), how’s it goin’? word. C: Not bad,you know,I have a lot on my plate these days(忙不过来了).
F:Like what?
C:I gotta(=have to) organize plenty of activities in the Student
Union,at the same time,ignore those disgusting backseat drivers
around me(指手画脚、却不能提供有价值建议的人).
F:Sorry to hear that, take it easy.I know what you mean,I have
to do all the tasks all by myself.
C:Why is that?
F:My partners are always a day late and a dollar short(总是办不好事情),the equipment breakdown on the stage the other
day
was just a textbook case(活教材，典例).I don’t
wanna leave a bad
taste in my teacher’s mouth again(留下不好印象).
C:That’s too bad,so your teacher criticized you?
F:Of course.
C: I think his bark is worse than his bite(刀子嘴豆腐心),because
he has always been kind to us,right?
F:Maybe.I wish.
C:By the way,how’s your math exam？

your boyfriend.
C:My roomie(室友) said he is feather-brained(愚蠢，不合实际)，but I think he’s just like a lovely prince in the ivory tower(象牙塔).

pull an all nighter (to stay up all night studying and doing
