7 Quarantine can be divided into three categories: human quarantine, plant quarantine and animal quarantine. Arriving international passengers need to pass through health control. They must fill in the form to say that they have been vaccinated against certain contagious diseases, if they arrive within 6 days of leaving or transiting an infected area, etc. in addition, passengers having any plants or meat products are requested to go through plant and animal quarantine prior to the Customs. Plant and animal quarantine includes all plants and vegetables with soil, fresh fruits, cut flowers, raw meat, eggs, processed meat( such as ham, bacon and sausages), dogs, birds, etc. As a rule, passengers with such items must present the “ Certificate of Origin” issued at the time of purchase. After the quarantine inspector has checked those items and stamped the certificate with “APPROVED”, they may be brought in.
