Introduction
Cancer, also known as a neoplasm, is a group of diseases characterized
by the uncontrolled growth and spread of abnormal cells in the body. Cancer
can start anywhere in the body and spread to other parts, invading and
destroying healthy tissues. While some cancers are curable, others can be
life-threatening.
The incidence of cancer has been increasing over the years, with more
than 19 million new cases recorded in 2020 alone. The cause of cancer can
range from genetic mutations, environmental factors, to lifestyle choices.
Treatment options include surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy,
immunotherapy, and targeted therapy.

从美国回来后做为通讯作者指导学生在Cancer Letters, PloS One, Stem cell research
&therapy上发过一些文章，但从没有这篇文章有戏剧性！
该生是我老板的学生，也就是我师妹，硕士阶段曾经做了一些白血病细胞中Sumoylation和IGF-1R的研究工作，很少很浅，毕业后投往Leukemia Res, 被拒，无果。工作一年博士有考回来，开题时征求我的意见，我说就接着原来的工作做下去吧，于是前前后后指导她一点点补实验改文章弄了将近一年（作为临床博士她中间还要经过总住院的苦逼煎熬），投稿时她想投个2分左右的保证毕业，跑征求我的意见，我说一篇文章就相当于自己的孩子，你希望把他放到一个什么样的位置？至少我是不愿意让他受委屈，我觉得我们文章的水平应该在5分左右，Cancer Letters我做为通讯一年内投过两次，一收一拒，我觉得我们这篇文章比较适合。投稿前为了让Editor有个好印象，送到Nature publish group做了个最简单的语言编辑（说实话，我认为水平也不咋样，但是人家至少给我们纠正了最起码的语法错误，而且
关键是那张证明值钱），于是乎投稿。
一周后，看到送外审了，心中窃喜，这至少在Editor心中是达到杂志的Lever了，接下来是漫长的将近两个月的等待，终于等来了decision in process，出乎我意料的是，这个状态竟然等了1周，更出乎意料的是，等到的结果是Reject，其中有个评委给出我的意见中竟然是毫不留情的“I therefore cannot recommend publication of this work in Cancer letters or any
other journal”，NND太伤自尊了！于是乎叫上那个学生，对了两个评委的意见一条一条分析，觉得他们其实提的问题并不致命，而且从decision in process这个过程持续了一周我感觉出Editor肯定还是比较纠结的。
