Section ⅢGrammar——时间状语从句和省略一、时间状语从句在复合句中起时间状语作用的句子称为时间状语从句。
时间状语从句常用when,while,as,until,since或表示时间意义的名词短语等引导。
1.when,while,as的用法他父亲去世时他才九岁。

Introduction 部分介绍几种美国本土的音乐类型,为整个模块的学习提供了一些知识储备,教师可以适当地帮助学生复习以前学过有关音乐的词汇,让学生能够形成比较系统的词汇网。
Reading and Vocabulary 部分通过阅读一篇介绍Hip Hop的文章,系统地了解Hip Hop的起源、发展及现状。
由于这是一篇说明文,在学习过程中教师可以适当地训练学生寻找主题句或归纳段落大意的能力。
Grammar (1) 部分是复习时间状语从句。
教师应着重把握时间状语从句学习中常出错的两个方面,一是时态;二是个别引导词的语序问题。
Listening部分有三个内容,一是通过短语配对,让学生学习用英语来解释一些词组,并为后面的听力做好词汇基础的铺垫;二是让学生听一段母子的对话,让学生获取信息完成书上的练习,并着重帮助学生理解几个省略句的意思,为后面的语法课做好语言材料的准备。
Grammar (2) 部分利用听力原文的几个省略句,让学生学会看并知道运用省略句。
Function 部分学习使用比较过去与现在的功能句式。
Everyday English 部分围绕日常生活中常见的交际用语,主要通过选择题的形式让学生进一步理解听力原文中出现的几个短语。
如:a bit, my cup of tea, it’s one’s turn to do sth.等。
Reading and Writing部分通过阅读文章,回答三个开放性的问题,使学生开始思考音乐与学习的关系,为后面的写作做好了铺垫。

(2)④⑤句为no sooner ... than ... /hardly ... when ...句式,表示“一……就……”,且nosooner/hardly位于句首时,主句要用倒装语序。
(3)⑥句是不定式的省略,省去了to后面的动词(短语)。
(4)由⑦句可知,关系词在定语从句中作宾语时可以省略。
(5)⑧句中,从句主语与主句主语一致,且从句中包含be动词的某种形式,可以将从句的主语和be动词同时省略。
(6)⑩句是情态动词should的省略;⑨句省略了部分谓语及宾语。

时间状语从句常用when, while, as, until, since或表示时间意义的名词短语等引导。

(2)since①since 意为“自从”时,所引导的从句使用非延续性动词,主句使用完成时态。
Since he graduated from college, he has worked in this city.大学毕业后,他便在这个城市工作。
②since 的常用句型:⎭⎪⎬⎪⎫•It is/has been +时间段+since ...(从句用一般过去时)•It was +时间段+since ...(从句用过去完成时) 从句用短暂性动词表示动作持续了多久,用延续性动词表示动作停止了多久It is five days since he came here.他来这儿5天了。
It was three years since she had lived in this city.她已有三年不住在这个城市了。
