外企的职位等级制度外企有很多种，从世界级的跨国公司到两三个人的皮包公司都有。
我只介绍我呆过的（全球2000－10000员工，年营收20－100亿美金，总部在美国的IT企业中国研发中心研发岗位）公司的职级，其他的外企／职位我觉得应该大同小异。
第一级：初级工程师（engineer）：大学本科／研究生应届毕业生，毕业后的2－3年都在这个职位上。
这是个人职业生涯的初期。
基本上在这个职级你不能独立完成工作，需要更有经验的工程师指导。
公司对你的期望和要求就是按时完成任务，做事踏实认真，仅此而已。
第二级：资深工程师（senior engineer）：工作2－6年的工程师。
不要被“senior”这个词蒙蔽了。
在外企，“senior”不代表对你技术或成就的认同，仅仅是“混得年头久”的意思而已。
绝大部分的工程师处于这个级别，并且会呆上相当长的一段时间。
作为senior，你被期望能独立完成任务，有时会指导初级工程师工作，但是你基本不会独立负责一个项目。
第三级：主任工程师（staff engineer，MTS）：工作5－8年，甚至更久的工程师。
通常在这个职级，你已开始承担一些独立的项目（可大可小），有几个组员供你驱使。
你的日常工作中，慢慢开始不全是技术工作，会有一些沟通协调、项目管理、进度追踪之类的事情。
如果你仍然希望保持在技术前沿的敏感（在中国，做到这一点是比较难的），那你应该已经是某一领域的专家了，所谓的“go-to person”——“外事不决问周瑜，内事不决问张昭”，张昭和周瑜，就是孙权的go-to guys.有的研发外企喜欢称这个级别的工程师为MTS —— Member of Technical Staff。
意思没两样，只是更好听一点而已。
这个级别其实是蛮尴尬的。
大部分勤奋＋天资一般的工程师做若干年以后，都会达到这个级别。
但是再往上，就会遇到职业生涯的第一个瓶颈。
通常在这个级别上，很多人会考虑转型做管理。
但是：第一，管理岗永远僧多粥少，轮不轮得到你，需要准备、人脉和机会；第二，工程师的思维模式和管理岗位的思维模式存在很大的差别，你要先想好自己是不是真的愿意并且适合做管理（关于工程师转型做管理的问题，以后有机会另文介绍）；第三，外企的一线经理其实很难做，其中苦楚不足为外人道（同样，以后有机会另文介绍外企一线经理的苦乐经）。

本节课是高中英语第一册Welcome Unit的阅读和思考部分，这个单元是刚刚步入高中阶段的开始，所以是初高中的过渡，让学生逐渐适应高中阶段的节奏和生活，对比初中来找寻不同之处，从而尽快适应新的生活。
从阅读意识的培养上，让学生了解叙事体裁需要一定的顺序，让文章更有层次感。
最后，在读的过程中了解一些必须掌握的词汇。

新课标对于高考语篇意识非常重视，其中的叙事类型学生并不陌生，只是没有从宏观把握的习惯，这节课内容虽然很简单，但是可以借此培养他们对叙事顺序的思考，帮助他们具有一定的语言意识和英语语感，在常见的具体语境中整合性的运用已有的语言知识。
思维品质目标：
通过对比主人公的高中生活和自己的高中生活来寻找相同点和不同点，建立高中学习目标，树立远大理想并正确评价各种思想观点。
