Unit 3 Could you please clean your room?

The First Period

Knowledge aims:

1. Make polite requests. 学会有礼貌地提出请求。

2. Ask for permission. 有礼貌地征求别人的允许。

Ability aims:

Improve the students’ ability of listening and speaking.

Moral aims:

1. Lead the students to know that it’s always right to be polite.

2. It’s glorious to help our parents to do chores.

Language points(语言点)

1.要求掌握以下句式:

---Could you please do sth.?

--- Sure. / All right/ No problem. ---sorry,but I have to...

--- Could I /we do sth.?

---Sure. / All right/No problem. --- No, you can’t.

2.要求掌握以下词汇: do the dishes, take out the rubbish, fold your clothes,

sweep the floor, make your bed, clean the living room.

学情分析

我的课堂为:自主高效合作学习模式 。从七年级初,我就有意在培养学生自主学习,自主探究,自己总结;甚至听力内容也会鼓励轮流着来当的小老师,用自己喜欢的、引以为豪的语音语调提前先背下来,并在课堂上以挑战听力原声带的信心,带领同学共同完成听力任务。经过一年多的培养与磨合,在我授之以渔的教育理念指引下,同学们逐渐可以大胆、轻松的完成各项教学任务。

我的活动设计:

1. Warm-up and revision(课堂热身和复习)

(1)复习第一与第二单元的内容

T: What’s the matter with A?

S: He has a cold.

T: Can you help himdo some things?

S: …

(老师可以鼓励学生给出尽可能多的答案)

T: Oh, I’m glad that you are so helpful.. You are an example to other students.

(学生可能会讲出多种办法帮别人,帮别人是一种美德。)

2 Presentation(呈现新知识)

T: … Open the door / give me your book …(用命令的语气)

T: …Could you please open the door ?/ Could you please give me your book?

(突然换了另一种委婉、谦和的语气)

T:...Which way do you like best? Why?(设计思路:学生自己感知本课时的语言重点)

T: What do you usually do on weekends except playing computer games? Do you

often help your parents do some chores?

S1: …

T: Oh, you often do chores on weekends.What chores do you do on weekends?5 3 Work on 1a

1)T: Do you do these chores at home? Discuss them with your partner.

(设计思路:让学生讲他们在家做的家务情况,听他们讲英语的情况)

4. Guessing game.

According the phases that they have learned, the teacher asks some students to do

some actions one by one. Then ask the others to answer these questions:

What is she doing? What is he doing?

(设计思路:通过看动作说英语的记忆力游戏,让学生适时对所学词汇进行回忆以及进一步的巩固,并适当活跃课堂气氛。)

5.拓展延伸

T:Do you know other chores ? Discuss with your partners,then write them

on the blackboard within 20 seconds.

(设计意思路:展开家务活短语拓展大赛:相同时间内,看哪个大组拓展的家务活短语最多、正确率最高、以鼓励拓展课外知识量,调动学生的积极主动性。)

6.Listening 1b.

Step1. Role-play the conversation in 1a :

T:I am the mother in the picture,who wants to be Peter?...

Let’s read the conversation.

M: Peter,could you please take out the rubbish?

P: Sure,Mom. T: Who will take out the rubbish? Peter’s mother or Peter ? How do you

know?

S: Peter.Because Peter answered: Sure, Mom.

(设计思路:利用1a中的对话,创设情景,引导学生感知怎样通过捕捉关键信息来获取答案的方法。)

Step2. T: Nowtwo classmates will perform a conversation.Listen carefully ,Who will

do these chores? Check Peter’s mother or Peter.

T: Listen again and try to remember the dialogue. And fill in the blanks. If you get the

imformation, stand up and say ”cut”, then repeat the whole sentence you hear.

(设计思路:由两名学生重现听力真实情境引出本单元重点教学内容。Could you

please do sth? 及其回答语。再听一次,学生通过起立抢答来核对听第一遍时的答案,突出学生的主体地位,调动学生的高度注意力。)

Step3. Read the conversation with the tape , pay attention to the pronunciation and

intonation.

7. Pairwork --1c

Have Ss make conversations using the information in 1a and 1b.

T: Now, It’s time to act out the dialogue. Work in pairs. One of you is Peter. The other

is Peter’s mom. (给学生练习的时间)

(设计思路:情景表演,对刚学的语言进行操练。)

8.Groupwork T: At the beginning of this class, I showed you a task, Make a

conversation about doing chores in your family. Now It’s time to act out .

(让学生可以将本课所学的词句融于模拟的生活情境之中加以再现,在不离核心知识的情况下得以无限的自由发挥。充分体现了第一课时听说领先的目标教学。) 9. Interview

Who is the most able at home?

1) What chores do you do at home? How often do you do the chores? Work in four,

interview each of the students in the group, fill in the chart.

2) Then one student make a report to the class. “In my group…. Does the dishes every

day,…We think … is the most able one in our group.”

3) 颁奖。给每个小组里的最能干者发奖。

(设计思路:这个活动可以使课堂气氛活跃起来,大家踊跃的在小组间发表自己的意见,营造出一个轻松的学习氛围。同时还可以锻炼学生说的能力和合作能力。初步达到理解父母辛劳的情感目标。)

10. Summary--Grammar focus

Step 1: Read the grammar focus on page20,and think aboutthe following

questions:

---Could I go out for dinner with my friends?

---Sure, that should be ok.

---Could we get something to drink after the movie?

---No, you can't .You have a basketball gametomorrow.

---Could you please take the dog for a walk ?

---Ok, but I want to watch one show first.

---Could you please take out the rubbish ?

--- Yes, sure .
