1 Self-evaluation——Know yourself
First of all, you should know your aptitudes and abilities, interests, values, personality and Work experience.
Know about your own strength. Sit down with a pen and paper and march your skills and experience to the job description. Think out the employer would benefit by choosing you rather than another candidate. Apart from the practical skills required, consider the less tangible qualities the employers might be searching for. Know about your weaknesses. So don’t imagine you are certain to get away with anything, but what you cannot hide you can always explain provided you are well prepared. And if you think positive way about yourself, you can turn those explanations to your advantage.
过渡语:You maybe the best candidate for a job, but that is no guarantee that you will be offered it. Experience and qualifications are important, but you may also have to sell yourself as the best person for the post. This requires you to know as much about the position as possible.
2 Research the organization------Know the company and the job
So doing research before the actual interview will increase the chances for your success
Knowing the company's market, products and goals is important. Also you should know its profile, structure, existing problem, requirement, campaign, future plan, etc. The better you understand the company and the employer's needs the more effectively you can show how you'll benefit their organization.
Find out the location of the interview site and decide how to travel there to arrive on time, nothing makes an poor impression on an interview as arriving late.
3 Dress appropriately -------- your first impression
Dressing appropriately for the Interview is important because your appearance will be the first thing the interviewer notices about you .this means wearing clean ,neatly pressed clothing and subdued color combinations such as brown or navy with white .you want to make a good impression ,but at the same time you do not want to attract attention to your clothing .Also ,you want to show that you can use good judgment .If you wear loud colors or overly noticeable clothes ,the interviewer might question your judgment about what's acceptable behavior for a school or office setting .
4、good manners -------- calm, confident, and concise
The questions are designed to reveal your strengths and weaknesses, skills and abilities as well as career goals. Not only will you be evaluated on the answer itself, but also on the manner in which you deliver your response. Remember the three C's during the question phase: calm, confident, and concise!
The decision to hire is often made in the first thirty seconds. Make a good first impression: you should know how to open a door, come into a room, offer your hand confidently, smile and introduce yourself. Use your left hand for carrying, leaving your right hand free for the handshake.
5 Practice ---------Rehearsing the interviewing
The more preparation you do beforehand, the less nervous you'll feel on the day.
Role-play a practice interview with a friend. Get them to give you feedback. Practice responses to interview questions - but don't try to memorize them. Being yourself is essential to interview success. Responses need to feel and sound natural. Remember that this is a business transaction, not a criminal trial: don’t act as if you are walking down death row.
By following these steps, you will be prepared for your interview and feel more confident about the results .you will also increase your chances of making the good impression that is important for getting accepted into the school of your choice or landing the job you want.。
