He is the pioneer of the Renaissance, and we consider that the representative character is Dante in generally.

The Renaissance was a period in European history, from the 14th to the 17th century, regarded as the cultural bridge between the Middle Ages and modern history. It started as a cultural movement in Italy in the late mediveal period and later spread to the rest of Europe, marking the beginning of the Early Modern Age.

Raphael Cenci Raphael was an Italian painter and architect of the High Renaissance. His works expressed maternal warmth and youthful fit and reflected the humanism. These works used light and color , having reached a new level, were known as the pinnacle of the art for ancient murals.
Brief Introduction

The Renaissance was the period that followed (brought Europe out of) the mid-ages. It was a time of renewed interest in things of this world. It happened approximately between 1300 and 1600. The Renaissance as a movement first started in Florence and then expanded to Venice, Rome and other Italian cities before it swept the rest parts of Europe. Painting and sculpture were the most sensitive fields to change with their subjects and tastes. All these were undertaken or unfolded gradually but widely, extending its influences to every corner of Europe, with more and more people involved. The achievements were seen principally in 6 areas: namely, painting, sculpture, poetry, fiction, drama and religious reformation as well as the change in the culture and intellectual climate.

One of the most pronounced features of early Renaissance European art music was the increasing reliance on the interval of the third (in the Middle Ages, thirds had been considered dissonances). Polyphony became increasingly elaborate, throughout the 14th century, with highly independent voices: the beginning of the 15th century showed simplification, with the voices often striving for smoothness. This was possible because of a greatly increased vocal range in music – in the Middle Ages, the narrow range made necessary frequent crossing of parts, thus requiring a greater contrast between them. The modal (as opposed to tonal) characteristics of Renaissance music began to break down towards the end of the period with the increased use of root motions of fifths. This later developed into one of the defining characteristics of tonality.

Cultural Achievements of the Renaissance literature
• Renaissance Literature refers to the period in European literature that began in Italy during the 14th century and spread around Europe through the 17th century. The impact of the Renaissance varied across the continent; countries that were predominantly Catholic or Protestant experienced the Renaissance differently compared to areas where the Orthodox Church was dominant as reflecting on its culture. • The creation of the printing press encouraged authors to write in the local vernacular rather than in Greek or Latin classical languages, widening the reading audience and promoting the spread of Renaissance ideas.
• It is sometimes argued that the greatest contribution that this work made to English literature was in popularizing the literary use of the vernacular, English, rather than ptember 1547(assumed) – 22 April 1616
• Don Quixote is Cervantes well-known novel.It's cited as the first classic model of the modern romance or novel, and it has served as the prototype of the comic novel. The humorous situations are mostly burlesque, and it includes satire. Don Quixote is one of the Encyclopæ dia Britannica's Great Books of the Western World, while the Russian author Fyodor Dostoyevsky called it "the ultimate and most sublime work of human thinking".It is in Don Quixote that Cervantes coined the popular phrase "the proof of the pudding is in the eating" (por la muestra se conoce el paño), which still sees heavy use in the shortened form of "the proof is in the pudding", and "who walks much and reads much, knows much and sees much" (quien anda mucho y lee mucho, sabe mucho y ve mucho).

He was a Spanish novelist, poet, and playwright. His magnum opus, Don Quixote, considered to be the first modern European novel, is a classic of Western literature, and is regarded amongst the best works of fiction ever written. His influence on the Spanish language has been so great that the language is often called la lengua de Cervantes ("the language of Cervantes"). He was dubbed El Prí ncipe de los Ingenios ("The Prince of Wits"). Cervantes' novel Don Quixote has had a tremendous influence on the development of prose fiction.

• Shakespeare produced most of his known work between 1589 and 1613. His early plays were mainly comedies and histories, genres he raised to the peak of sophistication and artistry by the end of the 16th century. He then wrote mainly tragedies until about 1608, including Hamlet, King Lear, Othello, and Macbeth, considered some of the finest works in the English language. In his last phase, he wrote tragicomedies, also known as romances, and collaborated with other playwrights. • Venus and Adonis,a narrative poem printed in 1593,was Shakespeare‟s first published work The Rape of Lucrece ,and narrative poem ,is a “graver labour”and the subject tragic.The poem is more rhetorical and elaborate than Venus and Adonis and,together with the latter,shows Shakespeare‟s virtuosity as a poet

• Geoffrey Chaucer (c. 1343 – 25 October 1400), known as the Father of English literature, is widely considered the greatest English poet of the Middle Ages and was the first poet to have been buried in Poet's Corner of Westminster Abbey. • Among his many works, which include The Book of the Duchess, the House of Fame, the Legend of Good Women and Troilus and Criseyde, he is best known today for The Canterbury Tales.
