在前四个课时里，学生已经学习了歌曲Mascots,掌握了ring, necklace等6个表示吉祥物的单词。

在听力训练中初步接触了用have got，has got描述谁拥有某物这个句型，这为过渡到本课的阅读训练起到了铺垫的作用。

五．说学法在教学过程中应特别重视对学生学法的指导，让学生成为真正的学习的主人。

这是一节阅读课，按照阅读课的教学模式，教师首先进行读前练习，带领学生唱歌曲Mascots复习本单元的重点单词和句子，然后进行读中练习，通过听音，给故事划分层次，有感情的朗读故事让学生充分理解故事的内容，最后是读后练习，让学生通过故事总结得出吉祥物并不总能给我们带来好运，加深对故事的理解。

六．说教学过程1.读前活动（10分钟）（1）复习旧知，引入新课全班齐唱本单元的Part1歌曲Mascots，复习本单元的重点单词。

（2）激趣导入，解释话题教师通过幻灯片呈现两个袋子，让学生选择You like BagA or BagB?然后揭示两个袋子中分别是土豆和金项链，询问学生Which one do youlike,potatoes or necklace?引出本课的话题---------the golden necklace.2.读中活动（25分钟）（1）整体呈现，初步感知让学生先完听完整个故事，初步感知文本，然后根据所听到的内容回答Which one does Joe like to choose, the golden necklace or the potatoes?（2）合理拆分，分层处理让学生打开书，边听边看，以golden necklace为主线，将故事划分成三部分。
