The Best Singing Competition Ever!

Last week was the most exciting week ever at my elementary

school! We had our annual "School's Got Talent" English singing

competition and it was just amazing. I've been looking forward

to this contest all year.

It all started a few months ago when teachers announced the

singing competition and put up posters all around the school.

Any student from grades 1-6 could enter by signing up and

choosing an English song to perform. My best friend Lily and I

immediately decided we wanted to enter together as a duet.

Lily and I spent weeks trying to pick the perfect song. We

considered classics like "Let It Go" from Frozen and "A Whole

New World" from Aladdin. But in the end, we chose to sing

"Roar" by Katy Perry because we both love how energetic and
