1. Students should spend a year to travel or to work before they go to college.

①It gives a chance to think it clearly about what they want to do in the rest of their life thus they
can make a more prudent choice about their major.
②Students have been worn out in high school, so they can take a break and refresh their mind
through traveling.
③Although some people think it is a waste of time, I believe what they gain outweigh what they
spend.
2. Some parents offer their school-age children money for each high grade they get in school. Do you think this is a good idea?

①It can encourage students to pay more efforts to study while students have a relatively weak
self-discipline.
②Give them a chance to put his income in proper use, cultivating their financial awareness
since childhood.
③Although some people argue that it will distort the pure meaning of study and make students
utilitarian, I think it can be reduced by educate them the purpose of reward and use
interesting teaching methods to awake their affection for exploring unknown fields.
3. University students should be required to take basic science classes even if they are not part of the field of the study.

①It takes up a large amount of time for students who are not interested in science at all.
②It requires more financial expenditure to hire more teachers professionalizing in science,
while it is kind of waste since basic science is too simple to most teachers.
③Although some argue students have the necessity to know the basic mechanism about how
the world functions so that they will not be too ignorant and unrealistic, I think students have the rights to choose what they want to learn. [example]
4. In order to attract good students, universities should spend money on social activities.
It is an effective way to attract excellent students by spending money on social activities.
①Students who have strong social ability will be attracted.
Define: The concept of good students is not only limited to straight-A students who have top academic performance, but also including students who are versatile or skilled in some particular fields.
②Students can directly benefit from attending social activities and develop their social skills like
organizing ability, leadership and negotiation skills.
③让步:Although universities can spend money on academic scholarship or sports reward to
attract good students, social activity funding is more appealing because youngsters
nowadays attach more importance to social skills. Society requires students with good social ability. Students are not willing to study in universities that are filled with nerds.

bias for those school, thinking they are too

It is a good way to help students learn.
①It is more interesting to have discussions than sitting there, listening to the dull lecture for
hours. Students can concentrate better.
②It provides students a chance to exchange notes and the advent of brain storming can create
unimaginable effects.
③Although it will take up some time professors imparted knowledge to students, it can be made
up by reading textbooks and references after class.
6. Teachers' performance should be evaluated by students rather than by other teachers. Agree.
①It is students who are the fruition of teachers’ education. It has no meaning if students cannot
comprehend what a teacher said but other teachers thought highly of him.
②Teachers can modify their teaching methods directly according to students feed back so that
they can achieve a better result.
③Although other teachers are more professional, having bigger possibility to give mature
suggestions, it has no practical use if students do not accept it.
