大学生英语竞赛演讲稿(精选20篇)大学生英语竞赛篇1Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. Today I would like to begin with a story. There was once a physical 1) therapist who traveled all the way from America to Africa to do a 2) census about mountain 3) gorillas. These gorillas are a main attraction to tourists from all over the world; this put them severely under threat of 4) poaching and being put into the zoo. She went there out of curiosity, but what she saw strengthened her determination to devote her whole life to fighting for those beautiful creatures. She witnessed a scene, a scene taking us to a place we never imaged we've ever been, where in the very depth of the African rainforest, surrounded by trees, flowers and butterflies, the mother gorillas 5) cuddled their babies.Yes, that's a memorable scene in one of my favorite movies, called Gorillas in the Mist, based on a true story of Mrs. Dian Fossey, who spent most of bet lifetime in Rwanda to protect the ecoenvironment there until the very end of her life.To me, the movie not only presents an unforgettable scene but also acts as a 6) timeless reminder that we should not develop the tourist industry at the cost of our ecoenvironment.Today, we live in a world of prosperity but still threatened by so many new problems. On the one hand, tourism, as one of the most promising industries in the 21st century, provides people with the great opportunity to see everything there is to see and to go any place there is to go. It has become a lifestyle for some people, and has turned out to be the driving force in GDP growth. It has the magic to turn a backward town into a wonderland ofprosperity. But on the other hand, many problems can occur---natural scenes aren't natural anymore. Deforestation to heat lodges is devastating Nepal. Oil spills from tourist boats are polluting Antarctica. Tribal people are forsaking their native music and dress to listen to U2 on Walkman and wear Nike and Reeboks. All these 7) appalling(令人震惊的) facts have brought us to the realization that we can no longer stand by and do nothing, because the very thought of it has been 8) eroding(侵蚀) our resources.Encouragingly, the explosive growth of global travel has put tourism again in the spotlight, which is why the United Nations has made 20xx the year of ecotourism, for the first time to bring to the world's attention the benefits of tourism, but also its capacity to destroy our ecoenvironment. Now every year, many local ecoenvironmental protection organizations an: receiving donations--big notes, small notes or even coins--from housewives, 9) plumbers(水管工人), ambulance drivers, salesmen, teachers, children and 10) invalids(残疾人), Some of them can not afford to send the money but they do. These are the ones who drive the cabs, who nurse in hospitals, who are suffering from ecological damage in their neighborhood. Why? Because they care. Because they still want their Mother Nature back. Because they know it still belongs to them. This kind of feeling that I have, ladies and gentlemen, is when it feels like it, smells like it, and looks like it, it's all coming from a scene to remember, a scene to recall and to cherish. The other night, as l saw the moon linger over the land and before it was sent into the invisible, my mind was filled with songs.I found myself humming softly, not to the music, but to some-thing else, someplace else. a place remembered, a place untouched, a field of grass where no one seem to have been except the deer. And all those unforgettable scenes strengthened the feeling that it's lime for us to do something, for our own and our coming generation. Once again, I have come to think of Mrs. Dian Fossey be- cause it's with her spirit, passion, courage and strong sense of our ecoenvironment that we are taking our next step into the world. And no matter who we are, what we do and where we go, in our mind, there's always a scene to remember, a scene worth our effort to protect it and fight for it.Thank you very much.Thanks,contestant#18.The topic for your impromptu speech is:Which is more important for you: knowledge from books or personal experience? Answer: Thank you. I remember, on my very first day of my beloved university, one of my professors said to me,“From now on, you’ll b e on a journey between who you think you are and who yo can be.The key is to allow yourself to continue the journey in the ocean of the books.”And I do learn a lot from books: I know the geometry of Euclid, logic ofAristotle, fable of Aesop known to children around the world. Well, no offense to all those great authors of the books, but during my three years at my university, I do realize that personal experience through practice means more to me. As we are in this global information age where both economic growth and individual opportunity are based on ideas, a commitment to providing all human beings the golden opportunity to develop themselves is so vital, not only to the people here, but all around. As we are in this transformational age where communicationsand commerce are global, investments are mobile, technology is almost magical, and the ambition for a better life is now universal, and I think this is why we are here today. We want to earn our personal experience through practicing our oral English, sharing our opinions of tourism and ecology with all the judges and audience here. And I think we are so lucky to be alive at this moment of the history. Never before have our nation enjoyed so much prospertity and so much social progress with so little internal crises. And never before have our young people had so much great opportunity to practice ourselves and, therefore, have a profound obligation to build a more perfect nation of our ancestor’s dream. And I think our government had provided us young people with the tools and condition to build the future of our dreams. Even if we know some rules, some regulations, or experiences from our books, we still simply cannot graft it onto today’s busier, more impersonal, complicated world. Instead, our challenges is to arrive at a consensus values and common vision of what we can do today individually andcollectively to build a strong family and strong community, and above all, make the world a better place for us to live. Thank you very much. Contestant#18, in your speech, you talked about ecotourism. Could you explain to us difference between ordinary tourists and e-tourists, or ecotourists?Answer: Thank you for your question. And I think the key issue is the differences between our awareness. Fot example, if you want to go to a place to have a trip, enjoy your trip. And I think before you get on board, get on the bus, you can have the awareness that “I’m not a polluter, but an environment keeper.” We’re not go to all those scenic spots to estroy all those beautiful scenes but we to appreciate the Mother Nature givingus so much things. Thank you very much.Contestant #18,now that information technology is becoming more and more accessible to people in China, do you think books will become less and less important?Answer: Well, I think, maybe, umm, I don’t think that all those echnologies can replace the importance of books. We’re in our modern village where so many new industries—IT industries, tourism ndustries—crop up every day and this brave new world seem a little bit dehumanizing and inhospitable to a lot of people. The world can no longer be defined as a place on a map or list or people in organizations but I think the true value, the essence of our village remains the same.It is the network of values relationship that support our lives and we can learn those things from our books because books is the very first beginning stage of what we learn. Thank you very much.I’d like to ask you a question about your prepared speech, please. You mention that the UN has declated the year 20xx, I think it was, “The Year of Ecotourism.” Do you think that such gestures really serve a purpose? Answer: And I think one of my teachers said to me, when I prepared my prepared speech, and he tells me that if we pay more attention to omething like environmental protection or ecotourism, it is more, it is better for us to bear in mind we should learn something in our hearts, we should have something about the awareness about how to pay more respect to our environment, not to talk about something orally but to bear something in our hearts. Follow our hearts, our environment can be better.Thank you very much.

Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed judges, and fellow contestants,Good morning/afternoon/evening! It is with great pleasure and honor that I stand before you today to deliver my speech on the topic of "Embracing Diversity: The Key to a Harmonious University Life." As we all know, university life is a unique and transformative period for young adults, where we not only acquire knowledge but also grow as individuals. Inthis speech, I will argue that embracing diversity is not only essential for our personal growth but also for creating a harmonious and inclusive university environment.First and foremost, embracing diversity allows us to broaden our perspectives and challenge our preconceived notions. As students from different cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds, we bring with us a myriad of experiences and ideas. By engaging with these diverse viewpoints, we can gain a deeper understanding of the world and ourselves. For instance, a classmate from another country may sharetheir unique perspective on global issues, which could inspire us to reconsider our own beliefs and values. This exchange of ideas fosters critical thinking and encourages us to embrace a more inclusive mindset.Furthermore, embracing diversity helps us to develop empathy andcultural sensitivity. In a world that is increasingly interconnected, it is crucial to be able to understand and appreciate different cultures. At university, we have the opportunity to interact with people from various backgrounds, which can be both challenging and rewarding. By embracing diversity, we learn to respect and appreciate the differences in others, which ultimately leads to a more harmonious and peaceful coexistence. This is especially important in today's globalized world, where cultural misunderstandings can lead to conflicts and tensions. In addition to fostering personal growth, embracing diversity also contributes to the academic success of our university. A diverse student body brings a variety of talents and skills to the table, which can enrich the learning experience for everyone. For instance, a student with a strong background in mathematics may collaborate with a classmate who excels in literature to create a well-rounded project. This kind of interdisciplinary collaboration not only enhances our academicperformance but also prepares us for the diverse challenges we will face in our future careers. Moreover, embracing diversity promotes social cohesion and reduces the likelihood of discrimination and prejudice on campus. When we actively engage with diverse groups of people, we become more aware of the commonalities that bind us together, rather than focusing on our differences. This awareness can lead to the formation of strong, supportive communities that celebrate diversity and inclusivity. As a result, our university can become a place where everyone feels valued and respected, regardless of their background. To foster a diverse and harmonious university environment, we need to take concrete steps to promote inclusivity. Here are a few suggestions:1. Encourage open dialogue: Create platforms for students to discuss their experiences and share their perspectives on diversity. This can be done through workshops, guest lectures, and student-led discussions.2. Promote cultural exchange: Organize events that celebrate different cultures, such as international food festivals, art exhibitions, and music performances. This will not only showcase the richness of our diverse community but also encourage students to learn from one another.3. Provide resources for students: Establish support systems, such as mentorship programs and counseling services, to help students navigate the challenges of living in a diverse environment.4. Incorporate diversity into the curriculum: Ensure that the academic programs reflect the diverse perspectives of our student body and encourage students to explore topics from multiple angles.5. Lead by example: University administrators and faculty should demonstrate their commitment to diversity and inclusivity in their actions and policies. In conclusion, embracing diversity is not just a noble goal but a necessity for creating a harmonious and inclusive university life. By broadening our perspectives, fostering empathy, and promoting socialcohesion, we can transform our university into a vibrant, multicultural community where every individual can thrive. Let us take the initiative to embrace diversity and work together to build a future where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered.Thank you for your attention. I look forward to your questions and feedback.。
Ladies and gentlemen,Good morning/afternoon/evening. It is my great honor to stand before you today to share with you my thoughts on the theme of "Embracing Challenges: The Journey of a University Student." As we all know, university life is a period of immense growth and transformation. It is a time when we leave the comfort of our homes and embark on a newjourney filled with challenges, opportunities, and lessons that will shape our future.First and foremost, let us acknowledge the challenges that we face as university students. These challenges are not just academic but also personal and emotional. The transition from high school to university is often accompanied by a sense of uncertainty and fear. We are expected to take on more responsibility, manage our time effectively, and adapt to a new environment with diverse cultures and backgrounds.Academically, the workload increases significantly. We are expected to master a wide range of subjects and develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The pressure to perform well can be overwhelming, and it is easy to feel lost or inadequate. However, it is through these challenges that we learn to persevere and develop resilience. On a personal level, we are faced with the task of building a new social circle and forming meaningful relationships. It is not uncommon to feel lonely or isolated, especially when we are away from our family and friends. The challenge lies in stepping out of our comfort zones and embracing the opportunity to meet new people and broaden our perspectives.Emotionally, we encounter moments of doubt and self-doubt. The fear of failure, the pressure to succeed, and the fear of not living up to expectations can all take a toll on our mental health. It is crucial to recognize these challenges and seek support when needed. Whether it is from friends, family, or professional counselors, we must remember that we are not alone in this journey. Now, let us focus on the opportunities that come with embracing these challenges. University is a time for self-discovery and personal growth. By facing our fears and stepping out of our comfort zones, we learn to become more adaptable and flexible individuals. We develop skills that are essential for our future careers, such as communication, teamwork, and leadership. Moreover, university offers a plethora of extracurricular activities and opportunities to engage in research and community service. These experiences allow us to explore our interests, develop new hobbies, and contribute to the betterment of society. It is through these opportunities that we find our passion and purpose in life. The journey of a university student is not just about academic achievements but also about the lessons we learn along the way. One of the most important lessons is the importance of time management. University life is fast-paced, and we must learn to prioritize our tasks and allocate our time effectively. This skill is not only beneficial during our time in university but also throughout our professional and personal lives.Another crucial lesson is the value of diversity and inclusivity. University is a melting pot of cultures, backgrounds, and beliefs. It is through interacting with people from different walks of life that we learn to appreciate and respect others' differences. This diversity not only enriches our own lives but also prepares us to be global citizens who can contribute to a more interconnected world.Furthermore, we learn the importance of perseverance and resilience. Challenges will undoubtedly arise, but it is our ability to overcome them that defines us. We must learn to embrace failure as a stepping stone to success and not as a reflection of our worth. By doing so, we develop a growth mindset that enables us to constantly improve and adapt. In conclusion, embracing challenges is an integral part of the journey of a university student. It is through these challenges that we grow, learn, and discover our true potential. As we navigate the complexitiesof university life, let us remember to be kind to ourselves, seek support when needed, and appreciate the opportunities that come our way.In the words of Nelson Mandela, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." Let us use this weapon wisely and embrace the challenges that lie ahead with courage, determination, and an open heart.Thank you for your attention, and may we all embark on a remarkable journey filled with growth, success, and unforgettable memories.[End of Speech]。

英语口语比赛演讲稿篇1Im studying in a city famous for its walls. All visitors to my city are amazed by the imposing sight of the city walls, silhouetted by the setting sun with gold and shining lines. With old, cracked bricks patched with lichen, the walls are weather-beaten guards, standing still for centuries in protecting the city. Our ancestors liked to build walls. They built walls in Beijing, Xian, Nanjing and many other cities, and they built the Great Wall, which snakes through half of our country. They built walls to ward off enemies and evil spirits. This tradition has been maintained to this day as we still have many parks and schools walled off from the public. I grew up at the foot of the city walls, and Ive loved them since my childhood. For a long time, walls were one of the most natural things in the world. My perception, however, changed after a hiking trip to the Eastern Suburbs, a scenic area of my city. My classmates and I were walking with some international students. As we walked out of the city, we found ourselves flanked by taller and taller trees, which formed a huge canopy above our heads. Suddenly an international student asked me, "Where is the entrance to the Eastern Suburbs?""Were already in the Eastern Suburbs," I replied. He seemed taken aback, "I thought you Chinese have wallsfor everything." His remark set off a heated debate. At one point, he likened our walled cities to "jails," while I insisted that the Eastern Suburbs were one of the many places in China that had no walls. That debate had no winners, but I did learn a lot from this international student. For instance, he told me that universities like Oxford and Cambridge were not surrounded by walls; the campuses were just part of the cities. I have to admit that we do have many walls in China, and as we are developing our country, we must carefully examine them, whether they are physical or intangible. We will keep some walls but tear down those that impede Chinas development.Let me give you an example.A year ago, when I was working on a term paper, I needed a book on business law and found a copy in the law school library. However, the librarian turned down my request with a cold shoulder, saying, "You cant borrow this book, you are not a student here." In the end, I had to spend 200 yuan buying a copy; meanwhile, the copy in law school was gathering dust on the shelf. At the beginning of this semester, I heard that my university has started not only to unify its libraries but also link them up with libraries of other universities, so my experience will not be repeated. Barriers will be replaced by bridges. Through an inter-library loan system, we will have access to books from any library. With globalization, with China integrated into the world, I believe many of these intangible walls will be knocked down.I know globalization is a controversial issue, and it is hard to say whether it is good or bad. But one thing is for sure: it draws our attention to Chinas tangible and intangible walls and forcesus to examine their roles in the modern world. And how about the ancient walls in my city and other cities? Should we tear them down? Just the opposite. My city, like Beijing and other cities, is actually making a great effort to preserve the walls. These walls attract not only historians and archeologists but also many schoolchildren trying to study our history and cultural heritage. Walls have turned into bridges to our past and to the rest of the world. If the ancient builders of these walls were still alive today, they would be proud to see such great change in the role of their walls. They are now bridges that link East and West, South and North, and all countries of the world. Our cultural heritage will survive globalization.英语口语比赛演讲稿篇2I have a friend who just started his career as a teacher in a primary school. Weeks ago, he asked me to raise a topic for his mid-term composition test. I was curious why he chose me to give a topic, because he is a teacher himself. He said that he wanted something the students can really show their different ideas. Without thinking, I told him to let his students write about what they would do if they were given one million US dollars. My friend left with satisfaction, and I fell into my old memories. It reminded me of my old days in primary school. We were learning to do narration in the fifth grades Chinese class. Our teacher required us to write a composition with the topic "My Most Unforgettable Day" with our real experience. When papers came back, half of the students wrote about the first day they came to school. The rest of the compositions were all about picking money on the streets and giving it to policemen, or helping a blind man cross the street. Of course I was among them. But I remember very clearly, that one student, only one student gave something different. He wrote about the day that he first kissed a girl. I read his composition. After all these years, I cant recite every word, but I dare to say, that even Shakespeare, may not be able to write as equally good when he was 11 years old. The composition was written out of real experience and genuine emotions. Contrary to those fake stories, it sounds real and natural. But the kid was scored zero. Our teacher thought the content was unhealthy, Im sure you know the meaning of this Chinglish word "unhealthy".That was 15 years ago. When you read those compositions, and you feel that half of our population is blind, so all those kids could have a chance to help a blind man cross the street, and every one of us has a hole in our pocket, so all those kids could have a chance to pick up the lost money and give it to policemen.A few days ago, my friend sent me an e-mail of all the copies of his students compositions. I have to say, I was sadly disillusioned.Among those papers 40% said that they wanted to donate the money to people in poverty, so their children can go to school. The rest compositions are much more alike. Some wanted to support the panda protection project, some wanted to buy books to enlarge their knowledge. One student even said that he would like to spend his one million dollars on the effort to cure AIDS. I was more astonished to find that a ten- year-old child knew what AIDS really is.We all have been kids, and we knew what we had once wanted. But, there was no composition about spending the money on video games, nice clothes, chocolates, ice-creams and expensive toys. Like 15 years ago, students wont tell the truth of their hearts. It has always been our dream to open our childrens hearts. We encourage them to describe their dreams, and acted as if we are ready to accept their thoughts. But the fact is that, children are scared by the zero marked on their papers. They are trained to say what we want to hear.People compare children to flowers of tomorrow. And parents dream about the scenery that roses, tulips, daffodils flourish in the future. But down the road we are going on, in the future, or the future of future, only one kind of flower can be found. And thats the flower we like most.英语口语比赛演讲稿篇3Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen:When I was in the primary school, I have a dream. I want to invent a device which could bring you from one place to another in no time at all. When I was in the secondary school, my dream was to study in my ideal university. And when eventually I got into the university, my dream was to graduate. How pathetic! When we grow up, we dream less and become more realistic. Why? Why do we have to change our dreams, so, so in order to let it be "fulfilled"? Why do we have to surrender to the so-called "reality"? What IS the reality actually?Ladies and gentlemen, the reality is not real. It is a barrier keeping us from all the possible fantasies. Flying, for example, had been a dream to mankind for thousands of years. A hundred years ago, "man could not fly" was still regarded as the "reality". Now if that was really the reality, what did the Wright brothers do? How did some of you get to Macau? Only when we believe that the reality is not real can we soar with our dreams.People say that our future is a battle between the reality and our dreams. And if, unfortunately, Mr. Reality wins this war, thenI see no future of mankind at all. AIDS will never be curable as this IS the reality; People living in the undeveloped countries will suffer from starvation forever as this IS the reality; 4)Disputes among different countries would never be settled as this misunderstandings and intolerance IS the reality.Ladies and gentlemen, how many of you have a dream of being able to make a lot of money? Please raise your hands. Oh, quite a number of you! Actually, ladies and gentlemen, this is not a dream, but a task. Every one of us has to make a living, right? Anyway I hope your task will be accomplished. How many of you think that you have already fulfilled your dream and that you dont dream anymore? Dear 5)adjudicators, what do you think?C.S. Lewis once said, "You are never too old to dream a new dream." So for our future, please dream and be unrealistic. Now that I am a university student, my goal is to graduate with excellences. But at the same time, I have a dream deeply rooted in our future. One day, people living in the areas now 6)sweltering with the horror of wars will be able to sit with their families and enjoy their every moment. One day, people from the rich countries are willing to share what they have with those from the poor countries and those from the poor countries will eventually be able to make their own happy living themselves. One day, different cultures in this age of globalization will coexist with tolerance and the unfriendly confrontations among them will be 7)eliminated. One day, the globe will share the dream with me and we will all contribute to making our dream come true. One day, our dream will defeat the reality! Thank you very much. 英语口语比赛演讲稿篇4Good morning, ladies and gentlemen:Before western and Chinese civilization came into closecontact, Chinese people had always longed for a life depicted in traditional Chinese paintings. Those paintings present a harmonious coexistence of people and other life forms. Regarded as the essence of ancient Chinese philosophies, harmony has been deeply-rooted in the minds of the Chinese people. On the one hand, it has contributed to the unique continuity of Chinese civilization. On the other, Chinese people became too much contented with their achievements to desire any further changes. As globalization deepens, it is bound to affect our ideal of harmony.First, globalization urges China to speed up its modernization, which threatens our regard for the harmony between Man and Nature. For instance, many dams and hydropower stations are being built for economic benefits at the expense of the well-preserved natural habitats. However, ecological malpractice of such kind goes against the notion of harmonious coexistence in ancient Chinese philosophies. More than 2,000 years ago, long before the concept of environmental protection came into being, DuJiang Weir, a great irrigation project was built in southwestern Chinas Sichuan province. It succeeded both in controlling floods and in facilitating the agriculture without posing a threat to the environment. Moreover, globalization has brought with it intense competition. Traditionally, moderation is a golden principle, presiding over inter-personal relations in China. Today, however, motivated to come to the top, some people become so self-centered that they choose to sacrifice love, friendship and even family ties.Last but not least, diverse cultures have met in China as a consequence of globalization. Therefore, a clash of culturesbecomes inevitable. Unfortunately, the past decades have witnessed a huge loss of cultural heritage in China. In cities like Beijing and Xian, hundreds of century-old Chinese-style houses are being demolished to make room for skyscrapers, shopping malls and eight-lane expressways. From these examples, we see the disharmony brought about by globalization. Yet it is not globalization that is to blame. As long as we approach globalization with harmony in mind, its benefit will outweigh its cost. Take my hometown, Hangzhou, for example, thanks to the strenuous efforts made by the municipal government in achieving eco-development, various water birds have returned to the West Lake, calling it home again after years of migration elsewhere. From the lake bank, we see skateboarders and trick cyclists showing off together with people flying kites and kicking shuttlecocks on the plaza nearby. Although they compose a picture quite distinct from traditional Chinese paintings, this picture conveys a modern sense of harmony in this era of globalization.Ladies and gentlemen, to conclude, I would like to quote from British philosopher Bertrand Russell. In contrasting Chinese and Western civilizations, he observed: "The distinctive merit of western civilization is the scientific method; the distinctive merit of the Chinese is a just conception of the ends of life. It is these two that one must hope to see gradually uniting." As we see the tremendous progress China has been making drawing on experience abroad, we may also expect the Chinese traditional value of harmony to enrich the world. I look forward to the time when Russells prophecy comes true.Thank you very much.英语口语比赛演讲稿篇5Seven centuries ago, Marco Polo, after staying in our country for almost twenty years, brought the secrets of spaghetti and ice-cream with him back to Italy. More than seven hundred years later, with the prevalence of globalization, our people, our food, our products and many other items, have traveled to many other places beyond Italy. No matter where these Chinese people, Chinese food, Chinese products and many other Chinese items are, they carry with them qualities that are unique to our very own Chinese culture - our traditional values. In the whole process of globalization that the world is integrating politically, economically and culturally, into one, we do witness in our country a great influx of western culture and values - McDonalds, KFCs, soccer players and NBA players. And we are even having this prestigious national speaking competition in a language that does not belong to us. In the midst of western products pouring in China as a result of globalization, sometimes we do wonder, where does our own culture belong? When we see our younger generations going away from traditional values such as contextual and role-based ethics, ideal of community, hierarchy, paternalism and non-litigious nature of society, we may even think our traditional values are challenged and even threatened. But, are we really losing our values?Ladies and gentlemen, we must remember, the traffic of globalization is two-way. Yes, films from Hollywood, soccer from the United Kingdom and restaurants from America, do have an impact on our values. But, if we see globalization in China a synonymous term with western economic cultural hegemony, we are underestimating the impact of not only globalization but also our values.Have a look at languages. Yes, it is the desire and dream of every single Chinese to speak fluent English, including every single one of us here. But, have you ever wondered how many non-Chinese are learning Chinese? Let me tell you, by the end of 20xx, nearly 30 million people from 85 countries and regions were learning standard Chinese, Putonghua. And who knows about the number of people learning regional dialects such as Shanghainese and Cantonese. In these two years, I am sure none of us here will be surprised that the number is skyrocketing.Have a look at Feng Shui, within 0.21 seconds Google brings you 1,270,000 websites about Feng Shui, not in Chinese, not from all over the world, but in English, just within the United States. And I guess some of you still remember, when the previous American president, Bill Clinton, first became president. He actually had the furniture of his office rearranged according to feng shui ideas.Have a look at traditional Chinese medicine. Four years ago, in 20xx, there were already more than 120 000 traditional Chinese medicine practitioners, researchers and related business trading companies in Europe, just Europe. Our holistic approach of taking care of a persons health has been proven popular in the world. Our values, language, our Feng Shui, our traditional medicine and also Kung Fu that I have not really talked about, are all parts and messengers of our culture and values. What does their success in the west tell us? Their popularity tells us that, alongside cheap consumer products, we are exporting to the west, Chinese beliefs and, values.Ladies and gentlemen, globalization, yes it has its impacts on our values. It is sending our values overseas and bringing in new ones. Lets not see the bringing in of new ones a threat to ourown culture. As a matter of fact, the bringing in is a very good opportunity and time to rethink and reflect who we are and what we want to be. It is upon us whether globalization has a positive or negative impact on our traditional values. Ladies and gentlemen, I see this positively, I know even if our traditional values are changing or to change, the change is for better, not for worse.Thank you very much.英语口语比赛演讲稿篇6good afternoon, honorable judges, dear teachers & friends:im lai senhan from the university of international business & economics. do you know what date is it today? today is the olympic date. im so glad to stand here today to share my idea about beijing olympic games together with you all. the title of my speech is: what can we do for beijing olympic games?first of all, let me tell you a story that happened 2 years ago. at the end of august, , when i decided to come to beijing for study, my friends hel rewell party for me. they said: after your graduation, you should look for a job in beijing, and then in , we shall go to visit you during the olympic games. i laughed and answered: ok, no problem!time flied and 2 years passed. now i am a graduate. my teachers and classmates always ask me: whats your plan after your graduation? go back home, stay in beijing, or go to some other places? and i always answer: i will stay in beijing. i make this decision not because of my promise to my friends 2 years ago, but because: ive fallen in love with beijing! im eager to welcome the coming olympic games together with my fellow countrymen, and i wish i could do something for the olympics & for the city.as we know, beijing will host the 29th summer olympic games in . as a chinese, i think many people are thinking: what we can do for beijing olympic games. most of us are not athletes, we cannot take part in competitions directly; we are not officials either, we dont need to do the preparatory work. we are only ordinary people, what we can do!there are still so many things we can do! for eample, for me, i am a graduate majoring business english. as far as i am concerned, i will keep on learning english hard, and apply for being a volunteer. i will use english to serve the games together with other volunteers. and also, as a businessman at that time, i will avail myself of the great commercial opportunities that the olympics brings to us, make more efforts to offer my contribution to the growth of our national economy.and for all of us, with the goal to host a green olympics , we shall plant more trees, grass & flowers. dont waste water. in order to alleviate the problems of air pollution & traffic congestions, we shall take buses & subways more. with the goal to host a peoples olympics , and in order to make our olympics more attractive and to make our beijing more beautiful, we shall help everyone we meet who needs help, we shall abide by traffic rules, dont smoke in public and no spitting. the most important way for our chinese to support our beijing olympic games, in my opinion, is to work hard on our duties.英语口语比赛演讲稿篇7Hello, everybody . What is success? It is what everyone is longing for.Sometimes success would be rather simple. Winning a game is success; getting a high grade in the exam is success; making a new friend is success; even now I am standing here giving my speech is somehow also success. However, as a person’s whole life is concerned, success becomes very complicated. Is fortune success? Is fame success? Is high social status success? No, I don’t think so. I believe success is the realization of people’s hopes and ideals.Nowadays, in the modern society there are many people who are regarded as the successful. And the most obvious characteristics of hem are money, high position and luxurious life. So most people believe that s success and all that they do is for this purpose. But the problem is wether it is real success. We all know there are always more money, higher position and better condition in front of us. If we keep chasing them, where is the end? What will satisfy us at last? Therefore, we can see, to get the real Success we must need something inside, which is the rea lization of people’ hopes and ideals.Different people have different ideas about success; cause people’s hopes and ideas vary from one another. But I am sure every success is dear to everybody, cause it is not easy to come by, cause in the process of our striving for success, we got both our body and soul tempted, meanwhile we are enlightened by the most valuable qualities of human beings: love, patient, courage and sense of responsibility. These are the best treasures. So now I am very proud that I have this opportunity to stand here speaking to all of you. It is my success, cause I raise up to challenge my hope. What is success? Everyone has his own interpretation as I do. But I am sure every success leads to an ever-brighter future. So ladies and gentlemen, believe in our hopes, believe in ourselves, we, every one of us, can make a successful life!英语口语比赛演讲稿篇9Hello ,everyone !Today I’d like to tell you the feeling of our students in study.Once after an exam, I heard a voice shouted:“With the crazy har d examination, I don’t want to live any longer. Oh ,my God!”This attracted my attention and I said to him:“Hi, buddy .Don’t be like that. It’s always the way in this life. So just let it lie. Okay ? ”“I am sorry ,but I am not you, Zhou. I know you feel h appy and I know you have a positive attitude. But it doesn’t work this way.”“How about this way. I hate life like that also. I hate that it takes four hours and a half everyday to do my homework. I hate that I get a little crinkle above my nose when I looking at some hard questions like I’m nuts. And I hate that after I spend the day in hard working I still don’t know how to answer these questions. And it’s not because I’m happy and it’s not because I have a positive attitude. I told this to you because you want to become one of the best students in our school ,you want your wonderful success to come as soon as possible!”I don’t know whether he accepted what I said or not. But I do hope that one day the school education will become funny and easy. Then we students will have a better world , a better tomorrow in learning.Thank you.英语口语比赛演讲稿篇10Good afternoon! Ladies and Gentlemen,Good morning/afternoon/evening, esteemed judges, teachers, and fellow contestants. It is with great honor and enthusiasm that I stand before you today to share my thoughts on a topic that is deeply rooted in the essence of our university and our global community – the embrace of diversity. In the tapestry of human civilization, diversity is the vibrant thread that weaves together the rich tapestry of cultures, ideas, and experiences. Our university, as a beacon of knowledge and understanding, stands as a testament to this principle. It is a place where students from all corners of the world come together, not just to learn, but to grow, to challenge themselves, and to embrace the diversity that defines our global village. The Power of DiversityFirstly, let us acknowledge the power of diversity. It is not merely a matter of having a varied student body; it is about fostering an environment where every individual feels valued and respected. Diversity enriches our educational experience by exposing us to different perspectives, beliefs, and ways of life. It encourages critical thinking, empathy, and tolerance – skills that are indispensable in today's interconnected world.Consider the benefits of a diverse classroom. It is in such an environment that we learn to appreciate the nuances of human existence. We understand that while we may share a common humanity, our experiences and backgrounds are as unique as our fingerprints. This understanding is crucial in preparing us for the complexities of the modern workplace, where teamwork and collaboration with people from different backgrounds are the norm.Cultural Exchange and Personal GrowthCultural exchange is another cornerstone of diversity. Our university is a melting pot of cultures, languages, and traditions. Throughinteractions with our peers, we gain insights into the world beyond ourimmediate surroundings. We learn about different customs, cuisines, and histories, broadening our horizons and fostering a sense of global citizenship. This cultural exchange also contributes to our personal growth. It challenges us to step out of our comfort zones and embrace the unfamiliar. It teaches us to adapt, to communicate effectively, and to appreciate the beauty of difference. In essence, it makes us better individuals, capable of navigating the diverse tapestry of the modern world.Overcoming Barriers and Promoting InclusionWhile the benefits of diversity are clear, it is essential to recognize that embracing diversity is not without its challenges. Barriers such as prejudice, discrimination, and cultural misunderstandings can hinder the full realization of its potential. As a community, we must actively work to overcome these barriers and promote inclusion. Our university has taken significant steps in this direction. Diversity and inclusion initiatives, such as cultural awareness programs, student organizations, and mentorship opportunities, are in place to support students from all backgrounds. However, there is always more work to be done. We must continue to educate ourselves and others about the importance of diversity, fostering an environment where everyone feels safe to express their unique identities. The Role of Technology in Fostering DiversityIn today's digital age, technology plays a pivotal role in fostering diversity. Online platforms and social media have brought people from different parts of the world closer than ever before. They provide us with opportunities to connect, share our experiences, and learn from one another. As we leverage these tools, we must ensure that they are used responsibly, promoting inclusivity and respect for all.ConclusionIn conclusion, embracing diversity is not just a goal but a necessityfor a harmonious and prosperous university community. It is through the power of diversity that we can achieve our full potential as individuals and as a collective. As we move forward, let us remember that our differences are our strengths, and that by coming together, we can create a world that is more understanding, more inclusive, and more beautiful.Thank you for your attention. I invite you to join me in this journey of embracing diversity, and to contribute to the creation of a university and a world that is truly inclusive for all.[Applause]。
Hello ladies and gentlemen! It's my great honor to stand here. As you know, there is a kind of beauty, it can make the person surprise, it make the person enjoy in retrospect. It is gorgeous and spectacular. There is a kind of beauty, it brings the intense emotion to life. It brings the sweet to life. This kind of beauty is the beauty of harmonious. Well, this is my today's topic:A harmonious campus.Harmonious, is one of the most popular words in the society at the present time. Now our governments are advocating building harmonious society. But what is harmonious? I looked it up in the dictionary. It says “in agreement, free from ill feeling.”In some schools, there are a lot of problems. For instance, teachers do not have patience with students, some ever shout at them. Students fall in sleep during the class. Play truant is widespread. Cutter languages are often heard.Campus, which is of course one part of the project, plays an essential role in the society. If we want to build a harmonious society, first we should build a harmonious campus, and get rid of those problems. To a harmonious school, the surrounding is very important. On our campus, coconut trees growed line on the road. The green grass is the always fine spring day. The various flowers and trees are the beautiful scenery, the green outside the classroom show its grave to the students. When the students are walkingaround the campus, their bodies and minds are pleasant. If we think of the harmonious campus as a tree, then the harmonious environment is the leaves of the tree. The good human relation of campus is the root.Only the campus with good human relationships can be called a harmonious campus.A harmonious campus has a harmonious relationship between teachers and students. Teacher, which is the person who teaches you knowledge, should be respect by us. We should cherish teachers' pays, respect their works. Thus we can create a harmonious study atmosphere.A harmonious campus also needs a good relationship among students. We should help those who have problems, and get along with them. Thus to create a harmonious social relationship.Bring hope to the helplessness, bring power to the young, bring light to the blind, and bring confidence to the weak. Our campus is a harmonious campus: it is a family of us all.大学英语口语演讲稿(二)In my 18 years of life, there have been many things. University days are the best part of them. I can never forget the days when I stepped into my university. I was impressed by its garden-like campus, its enthusiastic students and especially its learning atmosphere. I at once fell in love with it.After the arduous military training, I get absolutely absorbed in my studies. The classes given by the teachers are excellent. They provide us with information not only from our textbooks but from many other sources as well. They easily arouse my insatiable desire to take in as much as I can.Frankly speaking, at first I had some difficulty following theteachers. However, through my own efforts and thanks to my teachers' guidance, I made remarkable progress. Now I've benefited a lot from lectures and many other academic reports.Learning is a long process; I'll keep exploring in the treasure house of knowledge to enrich myself. This summer I got out of the ivory tower and entered the real world. A publishing house offered me a part-time job in compilation and revision. At the beginning I was belittled by my colleagues. But they were really surprised when I translated seven English articles over 5,000 words on only one day. Gradually, they began to look at me with respectful eyes. In their opinion I turned out to be a useful and trustworthy colleague.I also realize that only those who bring happiness for others can be truly happy. So I often take part in activities concerning public welfare. I once went to a barren mountain village with my classmates. We taught the kids there who could not afford school. While showing them how broad and how civilized the outer world is, I was deeply touched by their eagerness to learn, their honesty and their purity. I couldn't control my tears on the day when we left. The precious experience with the poor kids made me aware of the responsibility on the shoulders of us, future teachers.Besides study and social practice, there are entertainments as well. I do body building every day, hoping to keep healthy and energetic. We also write a play and put it on in our spare time.Campus life is the most splendid time. But different people have different choices. The majority of students cherish their beautiful season and cherish the hope that one day they'll become outstanding. But there are indeed some students still under ignorance. They gather together for eating, drinking orplaying cards. They're busy in searching for a girlfriend or a boyfriend. They forget completely about their mission as college students and the hope of their motherland. Finally, I do hope everybody can try their best to become a worthy citizen of the country. I do hope everybody can become the backbone of our nation and make great contributions to society!。
关于大学生英语口语演讲比赛稿(精选14篇)关于大学生英语口语演讲比赛稿篇1Honorable judges, ladies and gentlemen, good morning!Today, my topic is "Changing Ourselves".At first, I'd like to tell you a little story about an insurance salesman in Tokyo. Even though this man tried very hard to promote the insurance, nobody bought it. One day, he came to a small temple and began to brag about his insurance. After listening to his introduction, the monk said: "Your recommendation of insurance can't arouse any of my interests! When you are communicating with others, you must have the charm to attract others, or you will be unpromising in the future. Young man, try to change yourself!"The salesman thought deeply about each word. From then on, he invited all his friends to point out his weakness and kept on improving himself bit by bit for all his life. Thirty years later, he became a millionaire. And this man is the famous salesperson in the world: Yuan Yi Ping. His experience reflects one attitude: sometimes, we should change ourselves instead of changing the world.Human beings always scan others, therefore, lots of people just see the flaws of them, then they will blame and criticize the outside factors, some people will even try to change them! Unfortunately, they ignore the importance of the inner factors.Everybody in the world needs to examine himself critically, everybody has to learn to be tolerant and generous. You won't think the world is splendid unless you change your attitude first.Dear friends, we'd better remodel ourselves rather than blame each other. If we do so, we'll find that yesterday's sorrow is today's gratification, yesterday's opponent is today's assistant, and yesterday's failure is today's success! Remember: if we can change ourselves, we can change the whole world!Thank you!Leo Tolstoy once said, everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself. He is right. We always have great plans and dreams in our minds… too ready to achieve something grand that changes the world or benefits all of mankind .For example; we hate pollution and have made up our minds to find new energy sources that keep the environment clean. Yet we still litter on the ground. We complain about traffic jams, so we plan to build more highways to solve the problem, but it never occurs to us that our failure to follow traffic regulations is the leading cause of this situation. We are so concerned that the violence in the media has a bad impact on our children, we urge the government to set laws to protect them. But, do we, as adults, set a good example for our kids? We use nasty words and even spit on the ground in front of them, I dare to say, we harm more!In my opinion, before we decide to change the world, we had better change ourselves first. As ordinary individuals, we do not have the power to change the world. But we can change our habit of littering, spitting, cussing, we can respect the environment around us, we must act as good models for our kids.If each of us does all of these little things, all of us, millions and millions of individuals together, together we will be strong …strong enough to change our world! So please, the next time you do something, think how your actions influence not only you, but those around you too, especially our children …and perhaps more importantly…our planet!Dear Teacher, my dear students:Good morning!I come from class ? grade ?, my speech is entitled "I love my school."Towering at the foot of the iron roof temple, at the Trans-North and the South side of Xiangfan, in the post-rolling river foreshore, is located forward of a Beauty School - Middle School Maoba.Dawn, the night has not yet started, grass sweet to fall asleep, and the birds have not woke up from their sleep, the entire campus at the morning mist in the diffuse, like the mythology of the Temple. At this time, you see that white at a distance of teaching buildings, will be strange to see a white fog with wind around his waist in the Academic Building.Gradually opening night, the morning mist at the vast expanse of whiteness receded, at the flow. At this time, there have been at the morning mist of vague shadows, one, two ... five ... ten ... ... in droves, accompanied by cheerful laughter, walked into the campus.I do not know when, brilliant red Zhaoxia a half of the sky, soft colors will sprinkle campus. Little tree woke up, dipped in dew; wildflowers awake, able to smile; birds awake, showed voice, toward the blue sky.I love our school! I love our teachers! My dear Mr. and Misses, my fellows schoolmates,Good morning! As you know and see, it is a sunny bump harvest season. In the city, in our school campus, everywhere is surrounded with roses which we together planted 4 years ago. Today may these roses and our friendship as well be together and comfort our excited hearts! It was four years ago that everyone of us came from every part of China and formed a new collective. As we are young, it’s very easy for us to com municate. It was in the past four years that we were ambitious. It was in the past four years that we worried. It was in the past four years that we were content. It was in the past four years that we were vexed. It was in the past four years that we were friendly and lonely ... and it was in the past fours that we studied, lived and respected each other with genuine and with our ambitions. Nothing in the world is more significant than we miss all of these. We miss you─teachers who are tireless in teachin g; we will keep your gestures and your white hairs in our hearts deeply; we will miss the quietness with the lights at night in the classroom; we will miss the race and exercise on the playground; we will miss even the crowds in the dining hall and the quarrel on the beds; we will still miss every green piece and every piece of waste paper flying like flakes in the air ... However, today we will leave nothing but the first rose with our Alma Mater and our teachers which is entrusted with our love and respect.4 years seems very long but 4 years seems very short. From now on, we all will go into the society. The society is broad and wide for us. We will shoulder heavy responsibilities; we will work diligently; and we will expect to be informed of good news from one another. I played games and sang English songs with other children. Sometimes, I watched English cartoons. It's funny. Then I discovered the beauty of the language, and began my colorful dream in the English world.I hope I can travel around the world someday. I want to go to America to visit Washington, because my cousin is over there. Of course, I want to go to London too, because England is where English language developed. If I can ride my bike in Cambridge University, I will be very happy.I hope I can speak English with everyone in the world. Also I'll introduce China to them, such as the Great Wall, and the gardens in Suzhou. I will teaching people of the world about the beautiful language of our country.I like the English language. To learn English is wonderful. I once wanted to be an English teacher . I also like Chinese literature. When I was really young, I was able to remember lots of poems. I also wanted to be a teacher of Chinese. Now I think that both of my dreams can come true: I will be able to use English to teach foreign friends Chinese and share Chinese culture with them. So that more and more people will be able to get to know the 5000 years' history culture, and the prosperity of our great China. My future is not a dream. The East and the West, Let’s enjoy the combination of the two cultures?Kipling said:“East is east, and west is west, and never the twain shall meet!” But now, a century later, they have met. They have met in business. They have met in education. They have met in the arts. Some people will argue that these meetings will leave us with a choice between east and west, but I believe that the best future lies in the creative combination of both worlds. We can make western ideas, customs and technology our own, and adapt them to our own use. We can enjoy the best of both worlds, because our tradition is, above all, one of selecting the best and making it our own.I love Beijing and Hennan opera because it always reminds me of who I am. But I am also a fan of pop music, especially English songs. So I have combined eastern melody with western language. It is called western henna opera. When two cultures meet, there may be things in one culture, which do not fit into the tradition of the other. When this happens, we need to learn to understand and respect the customs of another culture. Then there are certain things some people may not like. To this, I will say, if you do not like it, please try to tolerate it. To learn to tolerate what you personally don’t like is a great virtue at a time when different cultures mix and merge. Before us, there are two rivers, eastern and western cultures. At present, they may run in different courses. But eventually, they will converge into the vast sea of human culture.Right now, I can see peoples of eastern and western cultures, standing side by side, singing the Olympic theme song: we are hand in hand, heart to heart, together we will shape a beautiful tomorrow! Thank you!让我们共同感受东西方的融合吉卜林说过:东方是东方,西方是西方,二者永不相聚。
