Then mark the places on the map.2. Then ask them to read the text and answer questions.3. They can check with a partner. Collect their answers in a whole classsetting.4. Let some students answer these questions:(1) Where is the National Gallery?(2) How can you get to the Houses of Parliament?(3) Which is the way to the Tower of London?Step 3. Learning1. The class should read the words aloud. Group the class to check theirmeanings. Give the answers and ask if they understand. Say which placesyou can see in the photos. 辨析:above, over与on 这三个词用作介词表示位置时,都有“在…之上”的意思,但各有不同的含义。
1)above 的意思是“在…之上”,可指“在…斜上方”,既不接触,有不一定垂直,只是位置“高于…”。

The temperature will stay above zero in the daytime.
2) over的意思也是“在……之上”,常常可以和above替换,它着重指垂直在上,
且不接触。
over还可以表示“盖在……上面,铺在……上面”,用作此意时,不能和above替换。
