《典范英语》(4a-L12)教学参考
The Seal Pup
教学参考的目的在于为实验课提供一个基本的思路和框架,帮助实验教师更好地把握课题理念。课题组鼓励实验教师结合学生的实际情况适当做出调整,将实验课上出特色。
一、教学目标
1. 语言能力目标:学生能够听懂故事;能够惟妙惟肖地模仿录音;能够绘声绘色地独立朗读故事;能够理解故事并能围绕故事提出问题;巩固字母组合“oa”的拼读规律;能围绕故事主题展开讨论;能简写故事。
2. 非语言能力目标:通过让学生观察故事图片了解小海豹的境遇,培养学生的观察力和想象力;让学生了解如何照顾小动物;培养学生珍爱野生动物的意识。
二、课时安排
要求每周不少于两课时,每周至少完成一个故事。鼓励学生课前预习。

1. 教师课前须熟读故事,了解故事内容。
2. 对于较难的单词,教师可板书,并配合动作和表情帮助学生理解。
3. 全英文授课。
四、教学用具
多媒体设备、CD机、课件(课题组提供)。
五、课堂教学基本步骤
1. 导入(Lead-in):谈论如何照顾动物,引入故事情境
通过展示几种小动物的图片,激发学生对动物的喜爱,引出故事话题,为看图讲故事做好铺垫。
(1)教师展示小动物图片(见课件),并与学生互动:
Do you love animals?
What animals do you keep at home?
How do you look after him/her? (BQ: What do you do for him/her every
day?)
When does it need more help? (BQ: Does it need more help when it’s 精品文档

(2)学生回答后,展示故事第一幅图,自然引出故事:
One day, the family walked along the seaside. Chip saw an animal on
the sand.
What was it? (BQ: Was it a young dolphin? Was it a young seal?)
It’s a young seal, that is, a seal pup. (指向图片中的小海豹)
2. 看图讲故事(Storytelling):理解故事情节,想象故事情境,培养观察力和想象力
教师利用课件逐幅播放故事图片,并用丰富的表情、生动的英文和适当的肢体语言给学生绘声绘色地讲故事,让学生观察小海豹被救助的过程。
(Picture 1) “The seal pup has no mother,” said Chip.
(Picture 2) Everyone stopped and watched the seal pup.
“Perhaps the mother is getting food,” said Mum.
“But what if the pup is lost?” she said.
She was worried maybe the pup was lost.
What was wrong with the pup? (请学生自由作答)

Dad.
(Picture 4) Did the mother come back?
No. So in the end, Dad called for help. (教师动作演示)

What did they bring?
They brought a boat.
This was Mrs Hill.(指向图片中右边的女士)
She looked at the seal pup, and said, “We must get him
into the boat.”
(Picture 6) Mrs Hill and her team got the pup into the boat.
“He was not well,” said Mrs Hill. “He needs food.”
Where would they take the pup? (BQ: Would they take him
back to the sea? Would they take him to the rescue centre?)
They took the seal pup to the rescue centre.

They called him Sinbad.

Everyone was happy.
(Picture 8) A few days later, the children went back to see Sinbad.
How was Sinbad?
He was big and fit.
“Now, he can go back in the sea,” said Mrs Hill.
(Picture 9) Everyone went to the sea in a boat.
They took Sinbad out, too.
What did they do?
They let Sinbad go back in the sea.

教师要注意启发学生思考,每次提问之后稍作停顿,不要急于说出答案,先观察学生的反应,如学生仍回答困难,再进一步给出提示引导学生作答。
3. 听录音模仿(Listening and Imitating):听懂录音并模仿出标准的语音语调
听录音模仿时,录音是什么音什么调,就让学生模仿成什么音什么调,尤其注意以下句子的语气及表达的不同情感:“It has no mother!”“But what if
the pup is lost?”“Look at Sinbad. He’s saying goodbye!”
(1)放录音,让学生完整地听一遍故事,整体输入,不需停顿。
(2)放录音,全班学生齐声模仿1-2遍。要求学生逐句跟读,鼓励学生大胆开口,读出戏剧化效果,读出感情。教师要引导学生用惊讶的语气读出“It has
no mother!”,用忧虑的语气读出“But what if the pup is lost?”,用兴奋的语气读出“Look at Sinbad. He’s saying goodbye!”。另外,引导学生注意连读,如:Perhaps the mother⌒is getting food. What if the pup ⌒is

4. 朗读故事(Reading Dramatically):读懂故事并能够绘声绘色地独立朗读故事
通过多种形式的朗读,让学生绘声绘色地独立朗读故事,养成有感情地朗读故事的习惯,练就扎实的语言基本功。
(1)全班朗读。教师组织全班同学齐声朗读一遍故事。
(2)分角色朗读。请不同的学生分别扮演Biff, Chip, Kipper, Mum, Dad,
Mrs Hill进行分角色朗读,其他学生齐读旁白。教师根据学生的朗读情况给予表扬、鼓励和指导。
朗读过程中,教师要对有朗读困难或问题的学生给予指导和示范。
5. 检查理解(Story Comprehension):梳理故事情节,提炼故事线索
教师引导学生梳理故事情节,归纳故事要点,画出故事脉络图,并让学生围绕故事提出问题。
(1)教师引导学生分别用一句话概括总结故事发展的四个阶段,完成框架图。如有难度,教师可出示四张句卡,请学生贴到框架图的相应位置。完成后的框架图如下:

(2)让每个学生针对故事发展的四个阶段分别提出1-2个问题,可以让学生把问题写在练习本上。问题可以是who、what、how、why引导的特殊疑问句,也可以是一般疑问句。然后,两人一组互相提问并回答。最后,教师可请几组上台展示。如学生提问有困难,教师可通过PPT展示可参考的问题,如:
阶段一:Who first found the seal pup?
Who sent for help?
Why did he send for help?
阶段二:Who came at last?
What did they do for the seal pup?
Why didn’t they take the pup back in the sea?
阶段三:Who looked after the seal pup?
