Unit 2 My Favourite SeasonB Read and Write一、说教材。
今天我说课的内容是:PEP教材小学英语五年级下册Unit 2 My Favourite Season的第六课时,Part B Read and Write.本单元主要是围绕交流最喜欢哪个季节并陈述原因展开的一系列话题。
本课时旨在复习巩固A/B部分的主要词汇和句型,通过阅读理解帮助学生综合运用本单元所学语言。
教材以Zoom和Zip在四季的活动描写和交流各自喜欢的季节及原因的阅读材料为载体,配以相应插图,贴近学生生活,充满童趣,且文本是学生所熟悉的词汇和句型。
二、说学生。
本课的教学对象是学过两年英语的五年级学生,此段学生天真活泼,好奇心强,有较强的模仿能力、逻辑思维能力和求知欲望,有一定的英语词汇积累,但还不牢固,需要多提醒才能想起。
学生是学习的主体,在教学中,教师要为学生创设生动、活泼、和谐的英语学习氛围,让学生积极主动参与学习,敢于展示自己,成为学习的主人。
三、说教学目标。
《英语课程标准》指出基础教育阶段英语课程的目标是以学生语言技能、语言知识、情感态度、学习策略和文化意识的发展为基础,培养学生英语综合语言运用能力。
五年级下册的Read and Write旨在复习巩固本单元的主要语汇的基础上,适当扩展语言,增大语言输入量。
因此,我针对学生实际,将本课时的教学目标确定如下:1、能够在听说的基础上,读写四会句子:Why do you like summer Because I can swim in the lake. Why do you like winter BecauseI can make a snow man.并能在情境中综合运用。
2、能够正确认读和理解文章的含义,并正确的回答书上的问题。
3、能够在Let’s find out的活动中谈论在每个城市喜欢的季节和原因。
四、说教学重、难点。
该文本是学生所熟悉的词汇和句型,因此,我将引导学生“理解和掌握Why do you like summer/winter Becaouse I can…”确立为本课的重点。
“正确回答和书写答句即becouse引导的原因状语从句。
”为本课的难点。
五、说教学准备。
根据教学设计,需要准备以下材料和教具:单词卡,相关学习、练习材料,插图,文本语音材料,制作课件ppt. 学生需要准备喜欢城市的四季图片。
六、说教学方法。
《英语课程标准》基本教学理念中,“倡导任务型的教学模式,让学生在教师的指导下,通过感知、体验、实践、参与和合作等方式,实现任务的目标,感受成功。
在学习过程中进行情感和策略调整,以积极的学习态度,促进语言实际运用能力的提高。
”任务型教学让学习者通过完成一件事而始终处于一种积极、主动的学习心理状态,正体现了以学生为中心和以人的发展为本的教育理念。
因此,在教学活动设计时,我将对文本的阅读理解作为本课的中心任务,为达成这一任务,又设计了若干读前任务和读后任务,运用多媒体辅助、猜测、小组活动等方法引导学生积极参与学习,让学生在完成任务的过程中体验成功的喜悦和实现自我价值。
七、说教学流程。
本着以学生为主体,教师为主导,我把教学过程分为四部分来完成。
即:热身――呈现――操练――巩固拓展。
(一)热身和复习——任务的导入“一个好的开始就是成功的一半。
”成功的导入能唤起学生已有的知识经验,启发学生的思维,发展他们的语言表达能力,培养他们分析解决问题的能力,使一堂课精妙生动、锦上添花、效果培增。
因此,在热身环节我设计了吟唱歌曲和复习单词(四年级下册的描述天气和本册一单元关于活动的单词、二单元单词)两个活动。
通过吟唱歌曲What’s your favourite season营造学习氛围,拉近教师与学生之间的距离,自然引出本课话题。
师生自由交谈询问喜欢的季节,复习再现本单元的主要句型和词汇,然后通过拼读补全单词活动重点复习四会单词,帮助学生记忆积累,将所学语言用于生活,为阅读文章和书写句子做好铺垫。
(二)课文呈现——任务的提出在教学中适当地运用媒体,能向学生传递形象、生动、有趣的教学信息,丰富感性认识,有效调动学生积极性,增强情感体验,激发学生学习兴趣,提高听说能力,从而提高英语课堂效率和教学质量。
在这一环节中,我运用课件分别出示Read and write部分的四幅图(资源出处:中央电教馆),提问:What season is it What can Zoom and Zip do in summer/ spring/ fall/ winter引导学生看图说话,了解大意,再问:Which season do Zoom and Zip like best Please guess.让学生尽情的猜测,主动参与,激发学生的学习兴趣,使其能积极投入到阅读学习中去来。
如:学生说Zoom likes summer. Because he can swim in the lake.教师板书学生猜测的答案。
然后教师播放课文录音(资源出处:中央电教馆)(2遍),学生边听边判断、了解自己的预测是否正确,更进一步巩固语言,掌握知识,训练学生的听说能力。
(三)操练——执行任务在这一环节上,我设计了2读。
一读是让学生带着文本后的问题“(1) What is Zip’s favourite season Why (2) Which season does Zoom like best Why”进行阅读,动笔勾画相关信息的词句,以培养学生获取某个信息的阅读能力;在学生充分的独立阅读的基础上,进行小组交流,帮助学生在小组里进行阅读成果的展示,通过交流互补,进一步理解或找准重点句型;然后全班学习,凸显教学重点,通过全班交流让学生进一步感受回答问题时人称的变化,使学生能正确的回答书上的问题,促进各个层面学生都有所获。
在这一活动中,学生通过反复的读本课的重点句子,落实教学目标。
二读是让学生再次独立阅读,享受阅读过程,真正读懂文本。
因此,在第二读后,我设计了让学生根据课文内容选词填空的任务,检查学生对文本的理解,了解大意,以培养学生阅读意群的能力,促进学生对主要词汇和句型的进一步复习巩固。
(四)巩固和扩展——任务完成和提高阅读教学的目的是复习旧知,学习新知,构建架子,训练孩子信息转换能力。
在这一环上,我为学生设计了三个小任务:任务1:连词组句,巩固黑体句子,训练书写。
1)教师运用课件出示:Why do you like summer Because I can swim in the lake. Why do you like winter Because I can make a snow man.指导学生认读。
2)出示打乱顺序的句子,让孩子把单词重新排列成正确的句子。

强调句子的书写要求。
同桌互相检查书写,并给予评价。
任务2:情景再现,进一步强化语言积累。
本活动以小组为单位,小组成员分别Zoom, Zip以及旁白对文本进行表演。
任务3:真实话题My Favourite Season,让学生运用所学语汇进行交际活动。
1)教师播放北京的四季(资源出处:百度搜索),进行说话:It’s spring in Beijing. I can fly kites. It’s summer in Beijing.I ca n swim. It’s fall in Beijing. I can climb the Xiangshan Mountain. It’s winter in Beijing. I can make a snowman.让学生提问 Which season do you like Why do you like……教师据实回答。
2)孩子出示自己收集到的城市四季图:进行简单的介绍,其他同学提问:What’s your favourite season in ……Why 进行真实的交流交际活动。
通过以上活动帮助学生进一步掌握本课的四会句子,进一步熟悉语言材料,到真正的自由交谈My Favourite Season,活动设计由浅入深,使学生能顺利完成任务,促进学生英语学习的听说读写技能的提高。
(五)课后作业和活动——任务的延伸和扩展在任务型教学中,活动越多,学生可理解性的输入越多,语言习得就越多,也就是说,为用而学,用中学,学了就用。
不仅在课内,也可以把教学内容的需要将任务延伸到课外,给学生提供实际运用英语的机会,鼓励学生广泛地利用校外资源。
因此,我给学生提供了三个可以选择的作业,学生可以根据自己的实际水平和喜好选择完成。
