Ⅳ.疑点探究
dinner与supper: dinner意为“(中午或晚上吃的)正餐,主餐”。
supper意为“(通常指在家吃的)晚餐,晚饭”。
从意义上就可以看出dinner可以在中午吃,也可以在晚上吃,通常比较正式,比较丰盛。
supper则较简单。
在英式英语中supper也可以表示“夜宵”。
