教学过程Step 1: Warm-up & Revision & Lead-in

1. Greetings.

2. Enjoy the song—Phonics Song.①(课件出示:歌曲相关内容)

3. Revision.

Present the chant of Unit 2. Chant together. (课件出示:教材P16

Read, listen and chant中的听力材料)

4. Lead-in.

T: Well done! Do you want to read more chants? Let’s go!

Step 2: Presentation

1. Teach the pronunciation of “ar”.②

(1) Read Chant 1.

Show Chant 1 on the PPT. Let students try to read the chant. (课件出示:自编chant)

(2) Look, read and find.

Show the words “arm, car, card” and corresponding pictures on

the PPT. (出示课件)

Students look at the words. Read the words by themselves.

T: What do you find?

Ss: They all have “ar”.

T: Very good. Teaching purpose①

欣赏歌曲《Phonics

Song》,营造英语语音教学氛围,复习26个字母的发音,为本课后面的学习做铺垫。复习上一个单元的chant并导入新课。

Teaching purpose②

学生通过读两段分别含有ar和al的chant并观察词形, 在教师的引导下逐步归纳出字母组合ar, al的发音规则。

Write down the words “arm, car, card” on the blackboard. Write the

“ar” in red chalk.

(3) Summarize the pronunciation rule.

Lead students to summarize the pronunciation rule.

T: Do you know how to read “ar”?

Ss: /ɑː/.

T: Yes. The letter combination “ar” pronounces “/ɑː /” in the

words.

(4) Read the words after the recording. (出示课件)

(5) Say and read some other words.

T: Can you say other words like this?

Show some other words that have “ar” on the PPT. Let students

try to read them according to the pronunciation rule of the letter

combination “ar”. (课件出示:带有字母组合ar的单词)

2. Teach the pronunciation of “al”.

(1) Read Chant 2.

Show Chant 2 on the PPT. Let students try to read the chant. (课件出示:自编chant 2)

(2) Look, read and find.

Show the words “tall, ball, wall” and corresponding pictures on

the PPT. (出示课件)

Students look at the words. Read the words by themselves.

T: What do you find?

Ss: They all have “al”.

T: Good!

Write down the words “tall, ball, wall” on the blackboard. Write the

“al” in red chalk.

(3) Summarize the pronunciation rule.

Lead students to summarize the pronunciation rule.

T: Do you know how to read “al” in the words?

Ss: / ɔ: /.

T: Yes. The letter combination “al” pronounces “/ ɔ: /” in the

words.

“ar” and “al”. (课件出示:Chant 1和Chant 2)

(1) Students read the words in this section in the book by

themselves.

(2) Play the recording. Then ask students to listen and number these

words. (出示课件)

(3) Check the answers by reading the words in order. (课件出示:答案及听力材料)

(1) Students look at the pictures.

(2) Then listen and write down the words. (出示课件)

(4) Students read the phrases loudly by themselves.

Step 4: Consolidation & Extension

1. Let’s read.

Show the picture of starry sky. (出示课件) Let students read the

words that have “ar” and “al” on the stars as fast as they can.

2. Let’s chant.⑤

(1) Show the chant on the PPT.

Students read the chant by themselves and pay attention to the words

that have “ar” and “al”.

(2) Let’s chant.

Students chant together.

先读再听,然后排序;先看图再听,然后到写。在学生进行听力练习之前,预留时间请学生对所听内容进行预测和推断,对学生进行有效的听力技巧指导,并且通过这两个活动帮助学生进一步巩固发音规则,达到听音能写的目的。
