一、教材内容分析
本模块以保护动物为话题,以学习动词不定式的用法为主线,介绍了当
前濒临灭绝,需要人类保护的动物的情况。
通过活动,思考我们社会应怎
样采取措施来保护动物,培养学生的主人翁意识和忧患意识。
Unit1通过听、读、说训练,初步学习动词不定式。
其中活动1要求将所给动物词汇与对其特征的描述相匹配。
活动2要求根据录音判断所谈论的动物及濒临灭绝的动物。
活动3—5听读包含谈论关于动物的对话并完成回答问题、填空及造句等任务。
二、学生分析
1.学生是景贤学校八年级的学生。
2.通过一年多的学习,学生已能用英语熟练地表达自己的看法和意见。
本模块的话题是动物,这是学生很熟悉也是较感兴趣的话题,但同时对学生的知识储备量要求较高。
3.学生在七年级学过少量的动词不定式短语,但还不够熟练。
4.学生思维活跃,善于和同学交流,乐于表达自己,渴望得到同学和教师的赞许。

我将从教材分析、学情分析、教学方法、教学目标、教学重点难点、教学步骤六个方面进行阐述。
教材分析:本模块以“人口”为主要话题,涉及环境污染、城市发展等内容。
本模块第一单元的对话是由贝蒂,托尼和玲玲正在撰写的有关人口增长的报告引出的。
对话讨论了北京以及中国的人口问题,很自然地导入了冠词和大数字的相关用法和读法。
这本教材的第一课以培养学生的听说能力为主,兼顾读写,并包括词汇,语法,语音的学习活动。

对于八年级学生来说,这个看似比较抽象的话题其实与他们的生活紧密相连。
对此,我们可以从小处着手,深入浅出,联系学生的实际生活是抽象的内容具体化的学习策略,学习新词汇,掌握重点句型,同时能比较好地运用到实践中,解决类似问题。
做到既能巩固所学知识,又能提高解决问题的能力以及综合运用语言能力教学方法:1、任务型语言教学法在教师精心设计的各种任务中,学生能够不断地获得知识或得出结论,从注重语言本身转变为注重语言习得。
从而获得语言运用的能力而不是仅仅掌握现成的语言知识点。
